Dum Pukht Biryani Restaurant — Restaurant in Dubai

Dum Pukht used to serve authentic dishes which is no longer the case. We used to dine in frequently at their Karama and International city branches which unfortunately are closed and I'm very surprised. We had booked Iftar dinner for 10 people at their JLT branch and had clearly informed the supervisor/manager to ensure the reservation is made accordingly to avoid any inconvenience however when we've turned up there it was very poorly organized. We were supposed to sit outside and as per their supervisor/manager they were confused since another family with the same first name showed up however they were 7 in total. I had provided my complete name while reserving the spot a day earlier however this vague excuse from the supervisor/manager is not at all acceptable. The food quality, taste, variety, serving were not at all up to the standards since the okra and dal makhni didn't have any taste at all. Moreover, their mutton kebab was hell spicy which resulted in us not trying their buffet completely since we were very disappointed. Moreover, we were advised the ramadan buffet timings were from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm and one of their staff/waiter approached us around 8:00 pm and informed that the buffet is about to close by 8:30 pm which was very surprising. I had provided our feedback about the experience to the supervisor/manager and instead of compensating us for all this mishap he was more concerned on taking the entire amount per person for the buffet which is indeed very disappointing. First of all the manager on the floor was really unfropessional and didn't know what to say to us(customers). We asked him for seating us outside and were suppose to wait for the table but first he said we can't tell u when the table will free and then after 5 min the table was free outside, then he made excuse that they had booking and we don't have place even i was seeing that the table were free till we finish our dinner and move out. inside the restaurant was so much smoke so we can't sit and that's why we were trying to get the table outside. Second thing, sorry to say but Nihari was so pathetic in taste and we returned it instantly, haleem was ok but not as we were expecting. Please try to put someone who has experience or have knowledge to speak with guest. Located right beside the Lake in cluster T, this place has great indoor and outdoor seating arrangements with all SOPs being followed. Staff is friendly and welcoming, very efficient and kind. We were told specialities and best sellers. Decided to order muxed grill, biryani with shami kbab, nihari and naan. I also added lemon mint for me. Everything was served fresh, food was delicious. Biryani was perfect loved it. Nihari was good, but could be better. Mixed grill was perfectly delicious and raita with the platter was yummy! Ended the night on sweet note with falooda and it was so delicious!
