Since it was our first time at Haidilao, we didn’t know it would be so busy, and we should have booked a table in advance. Despite that, the waiting time was only about 20 minutes. During this time, we were offered delicious wheat chips and a choice of drinks (peach iced tea or fruit cocktail).
A waitress guided us to our table, staying close by to ensure we were following her, which I found to be an impressive level of service and made for a great first impression.
Once seated at a table that comfortably fits 4-5 people, we noticed that a larger table across from us had become available. The staff kindly offered us the option to move for more space, another example of their exceptional hospitality and attentiveness.
Not knowing exactly how to place an order, we asked a passing waitress for assistance. Without hesitation, she stayed with us, explaining what was worth ordering and guiding us through the menu, all without pressuring us into any specific choices.
After placing our order, our waiter, Scott, promptly introduced himself. He was attentive throughout, serving our drinks first, and the food arrived shortly after. Scott was always available, helping us with cooking tips and even assisting in retrieving our cooked food ("fishing it 😁"). We later learned that he had only recently started working there, which was surprising given his professionalism, friendliness, and approachable nature. Huge thanks to him—many waiting staff could learn from Scott’s excellent customer service skills.
In the end, there was no issue with splitting the bill, and as we left, we were given a small gift—a “cherry on top of the cake” that made our experience even more memorable.
The time I spent here with my colleagues stands out as the best dining experience I’ve had in Dubai, especially for a restaurant located in a mall where service is often more casual. Huge thanks to all the staff, and congratulations to the owners for making this place unforgettable.
I will definitely be back each time I visit Dubai....
Read moreWhat an amazing experience. I went to visit Chinatown in Dubai Mall and an saw this HotPot restaurant. I have always seen these hotpot videos on social media and never thought I would be taking part in these kind of things. But when I realized that HaiDiLao was right next to me , I immediately entered with excitement. The entrance is nice and bright with place that looks kind of like a waiting room . We waited very shortly then entered the seating are which was very nice and energetic. The vibe took you out of Dubai and and really pumped you up . It was busy but that is what really created an energetic atmosphere and mood. The waiters and staff are amazing. Very friendly and hospitable. We saw that if you sit and eat alone , they provide you with a giant stuffed toy to sit with you which we thought was very funny. It was really nice how there was a station with sauces, vegetables and more available for you to grab a plate or bowl and serve yourself without extra charge . This really helped elevate the experience when eating the main dish, which was delicious. I ordered meat, seafood and noodles which was cooked in the soup and had a lot of fun. You can choose up to 3 soups which is great for if you are eating with others and have different interests and cravings .It is very special how you get to cook your own food. The feeling of you having the freedom to customize your food very specifically is very comfortable and enjoyable. There is also a man who comes up to your table and squiggles the noodles infront of you before it is cooked. The food was finished and as I was leaving , I had every staff member next to me say bye as I was leaving and had one of them chase me to give me a bag full of chips. I really recommend this place to anyone as the food is very flexible for everyone, it is delicious, the staff are amazing and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Don’t forget that the prices are...
Read moreThis is one of those places that I keep coming back to! I usually do not like to judge a place until I’ve tried it a few times and Haidilao never disappoints. As what others have said, hospitality is unmatched with attention to the smallest details.
The broths taste really great and we enjoy experimenting with different ingredients. Some are spicy, so make sure to consult with your waiter if you are unsure. It’s such a fun experience and you can really push the broth and ingredients to a new level by utilizing your cooking expertise.
One broth I wish they would bring back is the Sukiyaki, as I don’t always see it available on the menu. It’s full of that rich umami flavor and is a great broth to cook veggies and rice cakes in.
Of course the tomato is an all time favorite, I can have it as a soup with just a couple of eggs swirled in, tofu, and mushrooms. Honestly, a vibe. Cook your beef in this and woooooh thank me later. Make sure to mark 2X tomato on the iPad for that rich flavor when placing your order!
My most recent experience was for a birthday celebration, and let me tell you the staff did not disappoint. The atmosphere was superb!! Super welcoming and the birthday song performance was a riot 😂😂 we might’ve been the most obnoxious table that day but it truly was so much fun!
I usually do not enjoy the hot pot restaurants in dubai as majority are AYCE which lowers down the quality due to its affordability. With Haidilao you have options that range in price and can even choose your portion size (half size, full size, 1-4 broths in different sectioned pots). All the ingredients are fresh and yummy! It might be a tad pricier than what you expect from hot pot, but trust me it’s worth it!
Overall the food is really good, decently priced, service is super attentive, and a fun experience.
I love visiting Haidilao and can’t wait for my next experience 💫 (Photos are from...
