My visit to Lamoroso was overshadowed by an incident that left me questioning the integrity and service standards of this establishment. Despite its seemingly commendable reputation, my experience paints a totally different picture—one of neglect, dishonesty, and outright theft.

After enjoying a meal that could best be described as average, nothing to write home about, the conclusion of my dining experience took an unexpected and unwelcome turn. Upon paying in cash, I expected the customary return of my change. However, what followed was a 20-minute wait, with no sign of my money. It's important to note that the restaurant was operating at roughly 50% capacity, making the delay inexplicable and inexcusable.

Taking matters into my own hands, I approached the counter, seeking both my change and an explanation. My requests were met with requests for patience, promises of just "5 more minutes," repeated enough to test the limits of my composure. It was not just the wait but the lack of any genuine effort to resolve the situation that aggravated me further. To my dismay, I was informed by a staff member at the counter that the cashier, identified as Rafah, who had collected my payment, was unavailable, with the flimsy excuse that he was in the washroom—an explanation that did little to account for his prolonged absence.

The staff's inability to manage what should have been a simple transaction, coupled with their evasive responses, left me feeling cheated. The term 'disgusting' doesn't quite capture the depth of my disappointment and anger. The consideration of reporting this incident to the police crossed my mind, a measure of the seriousness with which I viewed their actions—or more aptly, their inactions. Yet, in the spirit of not letting this further tarnish my holiday, I chose not to escalate the matter further.

This incident at Lamoroso was more than just about the delay or the average food; it was a glaring indication of a lack of professionalism and honesty. The disregard shown not just for customer service but for basic ethical standards is alarming. To future patrons, I urge caution: do not let the high reviews blind you to the potential risks of dining here. Proceed at your own risk, for my experience serves as a stark warning of what might await.

Lamoroso has a wonderful setting for an evening of fine dining without the price to match the ambiance! We went on a Monday evening so it wasn’t packed but where greeted with an extreme amount of kindness from the staff who truly where a pleasure! I had the carbonara which was both delicious and a hearty portion for the price! My companions had the mixed grill and seafood plater. The sea food plater was a bit of a let down the lobster was “okay” and that’s where the praise stopped the salmon tasted like warmed over freezer food. The prawns where “smothered” in curry and the 4th mystery seafood was so chewy it was thought to a dog toy, possibly Calamari. The rice and vegetables had as much taste as “cardboard”. On the the mixed grill! The meat was all generous in portions and all cooked well and tender without losing any juiciness! The kabobs where specifically commented on about having excellent Flavor! Lastly the staff where fantastic they made a genuine effort to be as helpful as possible without being intrusive or bothering what was overall a great meal (seafood platter excluded) for an excellent price and is in a beautiful part of the marina. It was also observed that the local area was extremely quiet compared to most city’s with only light...

My visit to Lamoroso in Dubai Marina was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a stunning ambiance that perfectly combines elegance and comfort.

The real highlight of our evening, however, was our waitress Elyana. Her service was outstanding—genuinely friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She offered great recommendations that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. You can tell she truly cares about making guests feel special.

The food was just as impressive—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, every bite was delicious. The waterfront view added an extra touch of magic to the evening.
