I was duped into visiting this restaurant after a very positive review in the paper. Picture of thali menu was deliciously inviting.
So we decided to visit this “hidden gem” and returned extremely disappointed.
Something just didn’t feel right as soon as we entered the restaurant. Not sure if it was dim lighting and untidy ambience or absolutely empty tables (a rarity for a top rated on Saturday night). The menu further added to my apprehension. It had almost every item that you can think across a wide gamut of Indian and Chinese vegetarian cuisine. I generally avoid generalist restaurants but I ignored my senses and persisted with my faith in Zomato rating and the promising newspaper review.
And things went downhill from there right from the starters till the deserts.
Tomato soup was an unappetizing mess that tasted like a very sweet cough syrup not to mention that it arrived lukewarm.
Nothing in the main course which was served tasted either good or fresh. We ordered thali which was easily the worst we have had in Dubai in last four years across the top rated Indian restaurants. Presentation was unappealing and all the items carried the appearance of overnight food warmed over. It took a strenuous breaking of the hard curry pakoda with my fingers to back up my negative feedback to the person in charge.
Desserts capped an overall sad experience. My 6 year old daughter called Gulab Jamuns (her favorite dessert) soggy but I found them just bad which was pretty much the mood the whole family shared on the drive back.
This is the one restaurant I I’ll have no difficulty not...
Read moreDuring our recent visit to Sai Dham, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive staff who showed a genuine willingness to accommodate our dietary restrictions. They provided excellent guidance and service throughout our meal.
The food quality was impressive, offering authentic vegetarian Maharashtrian cuisine that was both delicious and satisfying. We found the prices to be reasonable, and the portion sizes generous, ensuring a great value for the meal.
What stood out to us was the staff's responsiveness: when offered a mushroom soup that didn't align with my preferences, they graciously replaced it without hesitation. This level of service and consideration greatly enhanced our dining experience.
We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend Sai Dham to anyone in Dubai seeking vegetarian options, especially those with specific dietary needs. Sai Dham excels not only in their culinary offerings but also in their commitment to customer...

I personally enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, there are portraits on the wall and whole place just gives a beautiful vintage vibe.
Talking about the food, you should definitely try it out if you are a veggie lover !!! From all their rotis to dals to briyani, everything is DIVINE.
Prices may seem high for the amount of food given, but it compensates for their excellent taste.
DEFINITELY A RESTAURANT TO...
