A Perfect Sunday Brunch at Mare by Bussola!

I had the most incredible Sunday brunch experience at Mare by Bussola! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and seated with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, making it the perfect setting for a leisurely weekend meal.

The brunch spread was absolutely fantastic — a beautiful mix of fresh, flavorful dishes that had something for everyone. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the range of options, from savory to sweet, kept us coming back for more. The mimosas were on point, and I loved how the staff made sure our glasses were never empty. 🌊🥂

The attention to detail and exceptional service really stood out. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the staff was knowledgeable and eager to make recommendations. Plus, the relaxed vibe and stunning views made the whole experience feel like a mini escape from the hustle and bustle.

I have been to La Bussola several times before and have always enjoyed dining there. This morning, I decided to try their pool facilities for the first time and booked my visit through Privilee.

When I arrived, the pool area was completely empty, with all sunbeds available and no visible “reserved” signs. However, I was told that Privilee members were required to spend a minimum of 300 AED in order to use that area, or we would be relocated to another zone.

The alternative zone offered was essentially a suntrap – an enclosed area with no ventilation or shade. You could roast a chicken in there in under an hour.

As an Elite Ambassador Member who spends over 120 nights per year at Bonvoy hotels, I found the experience not only disappointing, but frankly unacceptable. The treatment of Privilee members was subpar and felt discriminatory.

The manager on duty appeared unprofessional and entirely unequipped to handle the situation appropriately.

This experience has left a very negative impression, and I will certainly not be returning to La Bussola.
