AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS
A group of 25 of us visited yesterday for what was meant to be a celebration for our friends 30th birthday but turned in to an absolute shambles. We arrived promptly at 2pm to then have to wait over an hour for the first round of drinks to be served despite chasing the waiters numerous times and even then multiple orders were wrong, for example they served the spirit with no mixer, however we were understanding as we were a large table and sometimes these things happen.
Unfortunately for us, this was only the beginning of our hellish experience... an hour and a half in we got a corn salad and casava served to us as the 'starters' despite their being 10 dishes listed on the menu as sharing style starters. Once again, we gave them the benefit of the doubt assuming the rest were on their way. We soon realised this was not the case when our main courses started getting served to us. When questioned where our starters were the waiters just told us they were coming but we were all confused as we had now been there over 2 hours and had been served 2 below average dishes and half the table had their mains the others did not.
I almost wish I did not chase the waiters for my main as much as I did as the chicken dish was absolutely disgusting and inedible (see image attached). My partner who also ordered the chicken never received his despite following up with the waiters numerous times who once again kept saying it was on its way. 45 minutes later and still no sign of it so when told to not even bother bringing it out the waiter laughed in our faces and found the whole thing rather humorous. If you are a vegetarian attending this brunch then you can also forget it as these mains never showed up either.
Now picture this, it is 4:45 we have all finished our mains (at least those that got served them did) and the waiters begin bringing the missing starters over ALONGSIDE the dessert and placing it on the table. We asked them to hold on the dessert and sent it back whilst we still had the starters & mains on the table. The dishes they sent over were cold and hard as if they had been sitting out for hours so once again they were not touched.
Meanwhile, another waiter came over to take our last drinks order, we all placed our orders, however, you guessed it half did not turn up. When I asked the waiter where my rose was he pointed to a random half drank glass on the table and told me it was that one. When I pushed back and told him that was not my glass he advised I pour the liquid in to the glass I was holding. When I told you my jaw dropped to the floor at his comment... this man was delusional!
5:15pm and brunch was wrapping up however, our desserts were now nowhere to be seen. When questioning the manager on this he told us brunch was now over so desserts would not be coming... The best thing we did was bring our own birthday cake which was the nicest thing we had eaten all day.
I do have to say towards the end the staff had tried to make it up to us by bringing plenty of drinks our way but even these were wrong.
The whole thing is a MESS, from rude staff that are running around like headless chickens, to below average food (at least that that got served to us). No wonder they make you pay upfront as there would be no way anyone would willingly pay for that experience. The menu verges on false advertising seeing as we got served 4 out of the 10 starters.
Considering brunch is priced at AED 445 for the house package this price competes with the likes of Saffron, Clap, Chic Nonna, Mimi Kakushi etc and the food, service and environment is nowhere near this standard.
The best thing you will ever do is to never step foot in this place. Avoid...

I visited Palaya Beach Club on The Palm Dubai with a friend, and we each paid AED 400, expecting a premium beach experience like they show on Instagram. What we found instead was shocking, disgusting, and completely unacceptable – nothing like the photos.
The beach was littered with cigarette butts and used plasters, which is not only unhygienic but a serious health concern. The towels were dirty, chairs were torn and broken, and the entire place looked neglected and unclean. It felt like a complete scam. We asked for basic things (like redbull and were told “not available” each time. The staff were indifferent and poorly trained.
We were told the mess was due to an “event the day before,” but that doesn’t explain why furniture was already damaged and the beach was in such unsanitary condition. That’s just not acceptable, especially for a venue charging premium prices.
We requested a refund and after arguing, I was given cash only after they struggled to find it. My friend was told the refund would go to her bank account the next day. It’s now days later (since Sunday) and she still hasn’t received anything.
In contrast, we walked next door to @AYLA beach club (yes, very similar name) and paid less, yet received impeccable service, clean facilities, amazing food, and a truly luxurious experience. The difference was like night and day.
Dubai authorities should be alerted about Palaya Beach Club – this place is operating under false advertising, is not hygienic, and is potentially dangerous to public health. It’s a disgrace compared to Dubai’s usual standards and should be inspected immediately.
Avoid this place at all costs. Don’t be fooled by...

Our second visit to this restaurant was a letdown from the start, and it seems a poor first impression set the tone for everything that followed. We had a reservation, but upon arrival, the receptionist informed us about a minimum spending requirement of 300. This was never mentioned during our first visit, and while we weren't overly concerned since we knew we'd exceed that amount anyway, it was an unexpected surprise. The service from the staff was also far from enthusiastic; their expressions and demeanor suggested a reluctance to serve. The biggest issue arose when it came time to pay. The bill came out to 900, despite the initial mention of 300. We felt exploited due to the staff's unclear information. Regarding the food and drinks, we noticed a significant drop in quality. The drinks tasted different and strange, and they took a long time to arrive, which likely led to the ice melting and diluting the flavor. The food was also not up to par; this time, it was very bland. Overall, we were quite unimpressed. We strongly suggest improvements in the reception staff, especially the person named Inns. A negative first impression can easily ruin the entire dining experience that follows. What used to be our favorite restaurant has unfortunately lost its appeal, and we don't think we'll...
