I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding my recent visit to the Italian restaurant in Dubai.

While the restaurant's interior decor was aesthetically pleasing and its location boasted an excellent setting, a major concern arose in the form of lingering cigarette odors permeating even the designated non-smoking area. This issue significantly detracted from the appeal of the restaurant, particularly for families or those seeking an environment free from the scent of smoke.

Turning to the culinary aspect, I encountered an astonishing lack of flexibility from the chef when a simple request was made to add pizza toppings to a kids' pizza. This initial refusal to accommodate customer preferences set a discouraging tone for the remainder of the dining experience. Regrettably, the chef, who appeared rather youthful and inexperienced, seemed reluctant to deviate from the items listed on the menu, even declining to incorporate olives onto a beef pizza or combine beef and olives on a Margherita. This refusal to fulfill a straightforward request was perplexing and disheartening.

Furthermore, the overall quality of the cuisine fell below acceptable standards. Even after begrudgingly settling for a standard pizza option, it was disheartening to discover that the pizza was undercooked, featuring raw dough edges that undermined the dining experience. Unfortunately, the culinary disappointments did not end there, as a hot starter arrived cold and a chicken dish emanated an unwelcome aroma reminiscent of a poultry farm.

Given the above issues, I find it necessary to assert that this establishment falls considerably short of the esteemed standards typically associated with Dubai's established fine dining establishments. Restaurant Loren, despite its promising newness and impressive setting, regrettably fails to deliver the authentic Italian dining experience that patrons would rightfully expect.

It is indeed regrettable that an establishment with such a stunning location and tasteful decor should be marred by such glaring shortcomings. The only positive notes worth mentioning were the well-maintained restrooms and the courteous staff responsible for attending to these facilities.

In conclusion, I express my hope that the concerns highlighted in this review are addressed with the urgency they merit. A restaurant with such potential deserves to rise above its current deficiencies and truly deliver the exceptional dining experience that its setting suggests it...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Loren, an exquisite Italian restaurant located in the heart of Dubai's Palm. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance was elegant, with a touch of modern sophistication that perfectly complemented the culinary delights that awaited me.

First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Giovanni, our attentive and knowledgeable waiter. His warm and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home, and his expert recommendations added an extra layer of delight to our dining experience. Giovanni's passion for Italian cuisine shone through in his impeccable service, making our evening truly memorable.

Annalisa, the manager, deserves a special mention for her exceptional attention to detail and genuine care for every guest. She ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless, from the moment we walked in until our last bite. Her professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly commendable.

Last but certainly not least, I must highlight the extraordinary talent of head chef Giovanni. His culinary prowess is unmatched, and the dishes he crafted were nothing short of perfection. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, meticulously prepared with the freshest ingredients. The variety and creativity in the menu were truly impressive, showcasing the best of Italian cuisine right here in Dubai. I can confidently say that Loren offers some of the best food this city has to offer.

From the delectable antipasti to the mouthwatering pasta dishes and the indulgent desserts, every item on the menu surpassed my expectations. The attention to detail in the presentation and the exquisite balance of flavors made each dish a true work of art. Whether you're a fan of traditional Italian classics or seeking innovative creations, Loren has something to please every palate.

In conclusion, my experience at Loren was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of exceptional service, a charming ambiance, and outstanding culinary creations truly sets this restaurant apart. I highly recommend Loren to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Dubai's Palm. Special thanks to Giovanni, Annalisa, and head chef Giovanni for making our evening...

Navigating the restaurant scene in Dubai is a little like surfing a culinary wave. There's plenty of global names rolling into the city with a loud splash, but finding that special balance to put a smile on your face is a rare thing, lucky for me I discovered Loren.

I'll level with you, I visited half a dozen big name restaurants prior to todays lunch- many recently opened and many of them with serious pedigree. However, they don't manage to replicate the magic of their origin restuarant wheter that's in Paris, New York, London or beyond. Many of them are also so spookily expensive you begin the process of remortaging your home during the appetisers.

Loren is different. You can feel that the guys who set this place up knew exactly what they were doing- and wanted to create something that stands alone.

As you enter and ascend the impressive staircase lined with vintage art, you're welcomed by beaming staff. Moving into the main restaurant, aside from the eye catching decor and one of the slickest open kitchens you'll find, yet more staff beaming away- making you feel right at home.

However, nothing surprises or delights you as much as the food. Hokkaido scallop ceviche with truffle yuzu, asparagus and crispy pana- balanced, bursting with flavour and faultlessly presented.

The beef tartare was served with miniature brioche buns which was a nice touch. Their steak is exceptional, richly flavoured, aged and cooked perfectly- their accompanying chips the epitome of moreish. There could have been more sauce, but compared to the culinary firepower on display, it's smallfry.

I finished with their 'on demand' gelato- literaly whizzed to order and the Loren No.5, a take on Rum Baba which was about as perfect a dessert as you can get with chantilly packed to the brim with vanilla beans and a rich and creamy zambaglione.

Loren wasn't just a pleasant surprise, it's one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at for a very long time. If you're anywhere near the west beach palm, or frankly within 24 hours travel- put it at the top...

Our group of four enjoyed a selection of dishes, including Burrata, Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms, Foie Gras, Ravioli, Prawns, Gnocchi, and Octopus. Each dish was very well prepared, showcasing a harmonious balance of flavors. The desserts were a particular highlight, and we enjoyed the mango sorbet, profiteroles and tiramisu. However, we did find one salad to be somewhat underwhelming, lacking the desired toppings of peaches and the majority of it was leaves. The drinks menu did not disappoint either. The cocktails and mocktails were really well made and thoroughly enjoyable. Additionally, the ciabatta bread left a lasting impression, as it was one of the best I've personally tasted .The service at the restaurant was friendly and prompt, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. However, I must mention that we found some menu items to be on the pricey side. In particular, the ice cream priced at 25AED per scoop felt a bit steep. Despite these minor drawbacks, I can confidently say that I am looking forward to returning here. The overall experience was memorable, with exceptional food, attentive service, and a lovely atmosphere.

Wonderful experience through and through, highly recommend many, many visits to Loren❤️ service is impeccable, interior design and ambiance is gorgeous and romantic, and the food is simply outstanding. We loved every single thing we ordered: fritto alla Italiano, bresaola pizza croccante, ravioli filled with wagyu beef cheeks, tiramisu, and of course, our cocktails (one was with amaretto, the other with brandy). Fantastic. Will definitely be back on all the special occasions! P.S. the buggy service drive from the Club Valet to the restaurant and vice versa is an excellent touch. Well done. — EDIT OCTOBER 4TH 2024: came here again for my birthday! Tried their wagyu ribeye steak, medium, with a side of truffle mashed potatoes and black pepper sauce. Nduja sausage orecchiette. Tiramisu for dessert. Some drinks. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Loren never disappoints 👏🏻 I love this place! Bravo!
