I am sure this place is going to stand out among all the restaurants surrounding them. Tum Tum Asia is known for their authentic pan Asian cuisine with a twist. And all of their dishes are 100% vegetarian. I am sure you will have a journey into their dishes from China, India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan. They have got relaxed interiors and ample seating arrangements, a truly unique experience. They are located opposite to Lamcy Plaza, Oud Mehta. From the liquid street section, we had the Chi Chi Ki Ki – Pineapple Juice, cream of cocunut, chia seeds, kiwi and strawberry caviar, this was quite different and they were able to produce a beautiful mix with this kind of mix. Then we tried the Ruby Sling – Pomegranate, ruby chestnuts and watermelon shaken together with cumin and lemon grass citron. You will love the presentation on the table and the taste was quite different because of the cumin mixed with lemon grass citron. From the menu, this name – Black Dynamite 2.0 caught my eye under the section “Swear by Sushi”, Its basically coconut charcoal activated rice rolled around crispy asparagus and spicy mushroom tempura, this was my favourite. Didn’t expect it to be this tasty. From the section – Darling Dim Sum – tried the Thai curry – sum, These are like thai veggies filled in a crystal dumpling topped with a spicy Asian curry. It was a bit spicy and I liked it. Mock my meat from the tummy tasties section was the next to have, so from the name you will know its a purely vegetarian meaty delight. Soya chunks with bell peppers and white onion. It would go best with fried rice, definite recommendation. Wherever I go and I see sizzlers in that section, I would definitely try them. So here got to try the China Town Munchurians – Vegetable dumplings in hot garlic sauce served with fried rice. It was yum if you like noodles on sizzlers. Last on the mains were Tum Tum Goreng – Indonesian curried fried rice with basil & cocunut. It was served in a vessel on wheels, loved the flavours and aroma it brought about. Was delicious too. So for zayan from the kid menu we ordered the Hakka Noodles, Chow Chow Cigars and Mini Chocolate Burger. He enjoyed and had the whole thing. And he definitely told us twice that he loved the Mini chocolate burger, its presentation and how delicious it was. Tum Tum Asia surely knows how to treat the kids in dubai. Mine or all favourite part in a restaurant, desserts. We had the Mango Sticky Rice and the Lotus Malai Biscoff. Their version of the mango sticky rice is quite different, the balls burst out flavours of mango which is quite unique. And the lotus biscoff was a treat to the taste buds if you are a fan of lotus biscuits. Presentation 10/10 Hope you enjoy the food more than...

Read moreTum Tum - interesting name, interesting concept - again had been on my radar to try out for a while and we decided to come here for lunch on Saturday.
It has recently opened and has managed to garner good reviews - so let’s check out the offering.
We had the following -
💥Charred soy wings - soy shaped like a wing glazed with their signature sauce along with small potato 🥔 wedges tossed and glazed in the same sauce - result was excellent-lip smacking delicious 😋
😉Chow Chow cigars - nice crispy long thin spring roll - good snack but somehow did not match the description on the menu
👍Hot pot stickers - nice preparation, simple presentation - but dish is done up nicely good taste and flavour.
😉Dynamite sushi- the name suggests it to be a dynamite in taste - but not the case, sushi itself is well made, but quite bland - nothing dynamite in the taste.
💥Chang Mai curry - this was a very well made curry smooth and coconuty- excellent taste with a nice selection of vegetables great presentation in a coconut shaped bowl.
👍 Chinese chopsuey - this is an old favourite of mine and it was pretty well made with the crispy noodles served with the sweet and sour veggies on the side. Have had better, bit this one was good too.
👎Banana toffee - was disappointing-extremely thick crust with a over ripe banana - was not appetising. The manager enquired about the dish as he saw some pieces left on the plate and feedback was given, surprisingly I still saw it featured on the bill.
😉Watermelon on the rocks - was okaish- too sweet and there were no rocks (Ice cubes).
👍 The service by our petite waitress was attentive and personalised- and she was well informed about the menu. The manager passed by our table to enquire about the experience.
Location is bang opposite a car park - so parking is not an issue. It sits alongside some well established restaurants, but holds its own because of the interesting concept.
Food ranges from brilliant to just ordinary - some work needed to take up the ordinary dishes to match up with their...
