Well, I rated all 3 things a one or 2 star and thats because of the awful pricing. Food was below par as they had some gimmicky dishes but all lacked in quality. Starting with wagyu hot stone, the server would overcook the meat and honestly it just didnāt taste as one would expect. They highly recommended me to have their lobster. Now the lobster was extremely overpriced as according to them every lobster is 800g so will cost 800 aed. Then, they wouldnāt even take the meat out something they should have done as I chose the tempura option which they totally forgot about. This brings us to their service, now our server wouldnāt accept it and probably just had a target to sell the lobster so wouldnāt do anything about it. Serving was also pathetic and slow with several long pauses between meals even though we ordered 6 starters and 2 mains amongst 2. Moreover the restaurant was totally empty at the peak Iftar menu time; something advertised on Timeout Dubai. Also it was super hard to get any hold of the server as they were super busy gossiping and chanting loudly in their own little group, something you last expect in a fancy restaurant. Maybe, because there were barely any other guests so they were just trying to have a good time at work. Something you are gonna hate when you pay 2 grand for below par food. Overall a BIGG NO, you could just rather burn your money and especially because for the same or lower price, there are just too many amazing options available in Dubai that it wont make any sense to come here and feel insulted. You could rather go to Clap, Coya, Sushi Samba,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Salvaje Restaurant in Dubai, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was captivating with its chic, modern decor and vibrant atmosphere.
We started our meal with the shrimp dumplings, which were incredibly fresh and flavorful, setting the tone for what was to come. The duck fried rice was a true highlight, perfectly cooked and bursting with savory goodness. The beef ramen was another standout, rich and comforting with a depth of flavor that left us wanting more.
Beyond the exceptional food, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. The presentation of each dish was a feast for the eyes, adding to the overall delight.
Other reviewers have praised Salvaje for its innovative fusion of Asian and Latin American cuisines, and we couldn't agree more. The creative menu and high-quality ingredients truly set this restaurant apart. The bar also deserves a mention for its inventive cocktails, which perfectly complemented our meal.
Salvaje is a must-visit for anyone in Dubai looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing menu!
PS. The sushiās menu is also amazing. We just didnāt have time to try it out. Maybe next time. Great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRestaurant is an experience. Great atmosphere, not Japanese as it is advertised though; instead very African/jungle like, interesting but not matching with the menu. The dancers are nice to watch, everything is clean and you can see the restaurant really tries to leave an impression. However, food is not exceptional or the best I ever had, itās more or less average. Salmon tamaki is a hand roll and should come as such, when it wasnāt rolled but just rice, fish and avocado served on a nori paper, itās hard to eat as this way itās unwrappable with soya sauce. Chicken wings were nothing special. Beef rice okay, nothing wow. Ramen not tasty. Shrimp popcorn good. Oysters too small for gillardeau. Salad was bad (mushrooms dry and untasty!). Matcha lava cake not great. Shrimp tacos not great either. White chocolate dessert was awesome! Asked for shallot vinaigrette for oysters, they said it would come but in the end after 4 requests, they say they donāt have it but have a yuzu bbq sauce instead⦠Paloma was still missing after 3 requests. 2 times food came to the table which we didnāt order (messy system mistakes?) Then the bill came and the 72 aed chicken wings were listed as 172 aed. Isnāt this a mistake that shouldnāt happen as items are pre-programmed? Weird. Overall, interesting experience, wished the food was...
