Holy wow! This place is INCREDIBLE! We were staying in the building above, and on one of our last days decided to just go somewhere nearby - and what a pleasant surprise.

First off the staff were so wonderful and welcoming (Yassin & team), and the decor is so stunning from the walls to the ceiling the whole experience was extremely authentic & experiential.

We ordered the mezze mix, beef iskander, and the lamb dish (something like Boshpaja or similar - not recalling the exact name of the dish).

Before we even received our starter mezze mix they immediately surprised us with a complimentary starter that was delicious - a spiced lamb roll. Our mezze came with pitas that were freshly made in their taboun oven - crispy & delicious - and the four mezze were perfect. One spicy pepper salad, sweet & savory dolmas and a stuffed eggplant, baba ghanoush & two really interesting kinds of hummus. Our only regret is that the pita was so good with the salads, because we wish we had more room for the mains that were extremely generous.

It's good I was sitting down for the first bite of the iskander (we took the regular - not special), as it was one of the tastiest dishes I've ever eaten. The buttery bread under the crispy beef is grilled perfectly - and it comes sizzling. Be careful though - the hot pepper is HOT!

Lamb is my favorite meat, and this dish was cooked perfectly - it surprised me how much I loved each of the dishes equally - as I thought I'd prefer the lamb.

We also ordered the berry lemonade carafe - and it was surprisingly bubbly, and very good too. Tangy & sweet.

Since everything was so good - we couldn't not take dessert and took the grilled kunafa skewer with the Moroccan mint tea (more than enough for two) - and it was an exquisite way to close the meal - including the way it's served & the presentation.

It's the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends and family. I also have to add that the teddy bears everywhere and the teddy bear coffee is definitely fun to see and I really enjoyed that.

Now, let's talk about value for money. Navat offers top-notch quality at a surprisingly reasonable price. Given the quality of the food and the overall experience, it's hard to believe you're not paying a premium. This makes Navat a fantastic choice for those looking to enjoy fine dining without breaking the bank.

However, I must admit that if you're primarily interested in shisha, Navat might not be the best choice. While their shisha is decent enough to enjoy after a delicious meal, it doesn't quite match the exceptional standards set by their food.
