TANG in Downtown Dubai is an absolute must-visit. Inspired by the vibrant izakayas of Japan and the classic eateries of Hong Kong, this restaurant truly delivers a luxurious and unprecedented dining experience. Stepping inside feels like being transported to a chic Asian tropical paradise.

The location is simply unbeatable, right in the heart of Downtown Dubai with breathtaking views of the Burj Khalifa and the iconic Dubai Fountains. Dining waterside as the fountains dance is a truly magical setting.

The menu is a delightful fusion of Japanese and Cantonese flavors, with an incredible selection of small plates. We started with the Wagyu Robatayaki, which was incredibly tender and bursting with flavor thanks to the yuzu truffle sauce. The Sea Bass Truffle Ceviche was another highlight, with the "Leche de Tigre" adding a perfect tangy kick to the fresh sea bass, mango, avocado, and edamame.

But the real showstopper for me were the lobster tacos – creamy, loaded with delicious lobster, mango salsa, Yuzu Avo, and spicy mayo. Absolutely my favorite! The prawn gyoza with both sweet chili and soy ginger sauces were also fantastic. We also enjoyed the Crispy Peking Duck salad with its flavorful hoisin dressing.

For mains, the Teriyaki chicken with egg-fried rice was substantial and comforting. The Spicy Beef Tenderloin, individual steaks in a rich, spicy sesame sauce, were also excellent. The smoking sushi platter was a huge visual and culinary hit – we customized ours with The Bomb (crunchy and delicious), The Rainbow Reloaded (classic and fresh), and the unique Prawn Crispy Rice (spicy and texturally interesting).

The mocktail selection is extensive and creative. I particularly loved the Furusato with its refreshing matcha, kaffir lime, citrus, and coconut foam.

Even after all that amazing food, we managed to make room for dessert! The Fortune Cookie is a fun and theatrical ending to the meal, with the chocolate and berries being a delightful surprise. However, the Sticky Banana Toffee Pudding was the absolute winner – the flambeed banana, pudding, and coconut ice cream created a perfect harmony of flavors and textures.

I visited it for a dinner with my friend Andrea & everything from the service to the food exceeded our expectations🥰 For appetizers, we indulged in dynamite shrimps, fried calamari & some perfectly crafted sushi🍣 Each dish was bursting with flavor & was beautifully presented😊

For the main course, I chose the black cod, which was cooked to perfection with a delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture. My friend opted for the beef, which was tender, juicy & full of rich flavors. Both dishes were truly works of culinary art😍

Dessert was such a delightful surprise🤩 We shared the fried banana tofu with an incredible foam topping, which was truly a unique & delicious way to end our meal🥰

To complement the meals, I sipped on my absolute favorite Château Minuty Rosé wine🤩✨️🍷💖, while my friend enjoyed a signature pink cocktail crafted with a perfect balance of sweetness & elegance.
