The Meat Co. Souk Al Bahar — Restaurant in Dubai

When we arrived the restaurant was practically empty and there were servers everywhere but we still did not have good service. It was 7pm, we started off by ordering two appetizers. One of which they were already sold out of. Then when they brought the appetizer, they brought the wrong one. We had to wait for 20 minutes for our server to return so we could tell him it was the wrong one. He took the dish away and brought the correct one. When we ordered our food, I also ordered the garlic butter for my steak. When we received our food the steaks were cooked to the correct temperature medium/medium rare etc, however the steaks did not have any flavor or seasoning. So I was happy I got the garlic butter, it was 25 AED for a small serving. Upon eating it I noticed it wasn't garlic butter, of course our server didn't come back for a long time so I was forced to eat my steak with whatever cheese sauce they brought out. My husband and his friend both tried the sauce and stated it was not garlic butter. When the server finally came over he asked how it was. Again we told him the side dishes (mashed potato, rice, and baked potatoe, had no flavor, let alone seasoning or butter) and we informed him of the sauce. He asked how the steaks were cooked, we said good, and then he said good and walked away. We were literally dumbfounded. We also noticed we ordered a bottle of water, as did the couple that came after us, and they gave us a smaller glass bottle and them a larger local brand. Meaning ours was more expensive. As if things weren't bad enough, it got worse. We asked for our check, my husband and I on one, and the friend separately, the server said no problem. He took our entertainer voucher and stated he would be back. When he came back he said because he we used entertainer he can't separate the checks any longer, we stated that was fine since he could use two forms of payment, he hands us the check, and the steak he removed from the check was our friends. His steak was 100 less than ours, he said there was nothing he could do. We asked to speak to a manager, not only was he rude and not wanting to listen, he stated we should have not sat together if we didn't want a check together. ARE YOU SERIOUS!?! So you are telling me this restaurant refuses to give separate checks because of a voucher. We didn't argue with the manager since he was being a jerk, we paid the check and left. However I want everyone to know about our experience and warn you to stay away. The food is sub par at best. They don't use spices or even butter for flavor, the service is horrible and the management is even worse. This place is so overpriced and not worth it. There are plenty of places that make better steaks in the area and malls as well for a lot less and great service. In MOE the butcher shop is to DIE for.
