Read moreI've always been a big fan of Tashas and the other restaurants under the same hospitality group, but this was the first time I left feeling disappointed by the service. Don't get me wrong, the food remains top-notch—especially their pesto pasta, which is my all-time favorite—and the African staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, as always. The interiors are lovely too. However, I had an unpleasant experience with one server, a Filipina (colored brown hair and was sporting a ponytail), who was uncommonly rude. Despite being Filipina myself, she was quite dismissive and made the atmosphere unpleasant, refusing to smile or show any respect. She was much more friendly with guests of other races and it felt like I was being discriminated/stereotyped by my own kin (due to preconceived notions) which was disheartening, especially since I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at other Tashas branches. Also, when I mentioned I would be redeeming my credit card points, she immediately told me my card wasn’t working without even showing an error message and then proceeded to charge me anyway. I really hope the staff undergoes training to ensure that the level of customer service the brand is known for is...
Read moreMy friends and I went for a dinner today. Food was delicious and ambience is cozy. The waiter (probably African guy. Average height and weight ) who took our order was nice and friendly. So we were enjoying and comfortable at first. But as time passed by, two waitresses ( both are probably African as well. One with long braided hair. And the other with short tied hair.) started to ask if she can clean our table already even though she can see that we are still eating. We even heard their manager asking them if “we are still eating or we’re just talking”. The three of them started to become rude and when we asked for the receipt the short-hair lady showed an irritated face. And the long-hair lady rudely snapped the receipt when she put it in the table. The restaurant is not even busy at all and there are customers staying longer than us. We usually order coffee after our meal in other restaurants but obviously, Tashas Marina Mall is not worth a penny. They are wasting their good food and ambience if they have these rubbish staff! But glad I experienced how bad this restaurant is before I organized a dinner for the whole team in our company. I’ll definitely not gonna...
