Review for Yo! Sushi at Dubai Marina Mall
Yo! Sushi at Dubai Marina Mall is a vibrant and enjoyable dining experience that perfectly combines convenience, quality, and fun. Located in one of Dubai's most iconic shopping and leisure destinations, this restaurant offers a great escape for sushi lovers and casual diners alike.
The first thing that stands out is the restaurant's lively and modern atmosphere. The conveyor belt system is not only entertaining but also incredibly convenient, allowing you to pick and choose dishes as they pass by. The colorful plates and interactive setup make it a hit for families, friends, and even solo diners.
The food quality is consistently impressive. From classic nigiri and sashimi to creative maki rolls and hot dishes, there’s something for everyone. The salmon nigiri is fresh and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, while the tempura rolls are perfectly crispy. For those who enjoy variety, the menu offers a mix of traditional Japanese flavors and innovative fusion options. The miso soup and edamame are also must-tries for a complete meal.
Service is friendly and efficient, with staff always ready to assist or prepare something fresh if you don’t see it on the belt. The pricing system, based on plate colors, is straightforward and offers good value for the quality and portion sizes.
One minor downside is that during peak hours, the restaurant can get quite busy, and seating near the conveyor belt can feel a bit cramped. However, this is a small trade-off for the overall experience.
Overall, Yo! Sushi at Dubai Marina Mall is a fantastic spot for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or just looking to try something new, this place delivers on taste, atmosphere, and fun. Highly...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE! This place is not safe to eat. My wife and I both had food poisoning from the sushi. Let me explain some of the reasons I believe this happened: this is my wife and I first time at yo sushi. Hungry and excited, we grabbed a salmon roll from the conveyor. I took a bite of the sushi and it was extremely fishy and potent in taste. I knew instantly it was not good. My wife took a bite before I can say anything. After looking at the other plates coming on the conveyor, I realized there is a sticker on each plate with the time that the sushi was made. I looked at the plate we grabbed and sure enough, there was not a sticker. Then I looked around and noticed a few other plates on the belt, with similar sushi roll inside from the one we ate, were also missing time stamp stickers. I called the waitress and she acted like it was normal. Then I noticed her go talk to the person making the sushi. As soon as she told her, they started grabbing all the stickerless plates. AS if they knew, they were old and should not have been on the belt. They did not mention a thing to me about it. We did not finish or eat a single bite more than one sushi each. Less than 12 hours later, my wife and I were both extremely sick.
The other issue: I noticed the person touching raw fish opening and closing doors with handles that were also being opened and closed by the person cooking the hot food. Both wearing gloves, yet contaminating the door handle which was being touched by everyone.
My wife and I had a bad feeling about this place based on how empty it was in comparison to the other places around, but we were just hungry and dumb. DO NOT EAT HERE. Bad service, bad food, and high chance o getting sick. I can't believe Dubai has not shut this place...
Read moreFirst time back at a Yo Sushi after probably about 10years and I have to say it is the worse service and worse sushi I’ve had in my life. Literally sat down and had to ask twice for cutlery and when asked for a dish for soy sauce the girl didn’t even know what I was asking for, until I pointed to the soy sauce and asked her where she expected me to pour the sauce into. After receiving my chopsticks and a sauce bowl I waited another 10mins before someone brought over the wasabi. Went on to trying to order some food from the menu and the waitress picked up a dish from the belt and said this is it, and placed it in front of me. I asked did I need to take from the belt or if I could order a fresh one, to which she said if there is on the belt then you take from the belt. It looked very dry and not appetising at all and went ahead to place it back on the belt and the waitress had the brave to say the rule is if you take it from the belt you can not put it back on. I reminded her I did not take it from the belt and that she did and to get her facts right. From my previous visit of yo sushi I seem to remember that a customer can choose to order a fresh sushi from the chef if he/she so chooses and does not have to take from the belt, someone update me if this is changed? Anyway didn’t think it could get worse and went to order a hot dish (chicken karaage) which was a disappointing as the rest of the meal so far. Bland balls of chicken meat (I think it was chicken) I’ve never seen chicken karaage rolled up in a ball shape before, is this me? Anyway -10/10 for this place. Avoid at all cost and don’t even think about coming here if you have any expectations of service, food quality or hospitality. Avoid...
