Today I have brought my family members to Zahr El laymoun restaurant with very high hopes that I will impress my guests who came all the way from Canada. We started by asking the waiter if the appetizers were a sharable portion and he said yes so we decided to go ahead with a fatoush pomegranate salad and a spicy grilled potatoes with a family size BBQ combo platter. When the food arrived we were shocked by the size of the portions that salad would not even be enough for 1 person, we decided not to make any comments yet until we started tasting the food. The Fatoush was lacking the taste of the pomegranate, the potatoes were cold but tasted nice, So we asked to speak with the manager and a supervisor named Ali showed up to the table and we shared our opinion politely hoping things can be fixed and he showed good manners, apologized and took the salad bowl with him, a few minutes later he came back with the salad and added some pomegranate to it. We thanked him and we were looking forward for that BBQ platter because by that time we are literally starving we have been waiting for about 30 minutes. But an even bigger disappointment was coming our way, The WORST BBQ plate I have ever tasted in my life, the chicken was over cooked, dry and had no taste at all. The kafta and the lamb tekka were below average, cold and tasted old. I walked up to the manager and I asked if I can take a few minutes of his time and told him that the BBQ plate was a huge disappointment and I am so surprised because I have tried their food at other locations before and it was pleasant but at this point, I was just shocked and very embarrassed in front of my guests whom I have promised the best food, Keep in mind that this entire time everyone at the table was very disappointed and we took less than 3 bites of each plate. One of my guests had ordered a chicken shawarma platter, which we hoped would be the redemption of this evening, but unfortunately it made everything even worse, the chicken tasted like an overcooked dry sand. At this point I was done with this place and walked up to the manager again and told him that we will be leaving and we can pay for the water and the couple bites we took of each plate because the food was just sitting there untouched, he came back to the table with a bill of a 100 AED . As a regular customer, bringing in visitors to this restaurant specifically as a high recommendation, it is highly disappointing and embarrassing in terms of quality but mostly the customer service we received was just so degrading. I will definitely be sharing this with others, to make sure your reputation is viewed as low and unworthy...

The worst experience for me and a group of 25 people in dubai. Rude staff and unprofessional treatment. The unavailability of a senior person and the restraint manager lead to this unacceptable act.
There were items added to our bill that we haven’t ordered and because we were a large group the waiters used this to make more tips by giving us a wrong invoice and giving the restaurant owner less amount.
Check your bills before you pay, only deal with Milad if he is there but the rest avoid them as you can be dealing with and keep all the items on the table specially the shisha because Easley you can be over charged despite the fact that the food taste really bad compared to the quality of downtown and Dubai mall places.
We ended up paying more than 650 AED that were not legit and the staff was saying to us that people left without paying, imagine a group of respected professional community friends in dubai leave each other without paying!
One of the examples, we paid for 20 people to get a total 6 set menus, and only 5 were given to us. How unprofessional is that!!! And we were double charged on many items!!!
We will file a case at DED, Municipality, and Emaar to take the action against these behaviors that ruin the tourism sector in Dubai.
Hope that emaar and concerned departments see...
Read moreAfter a very good experience a year or so ago, we decided to take our special friend/couple to taste some amazing Lebanese food to Zahr Al Leymoun. We started off with some salads and drinks which were nice and we couldn’t wait for the hot starters & main course as we had spoken so much about this place to our guests. The starters arrived and seemed a little cold and not freshly made. Specially the accompanied grilled garlic which is their speciality was absolutely cold like taken out of a cold storage. When we mentioned to the waitress she offered to bring us hot / fresh garlic but yet again, it seemed that they mildly warmed the frozen ones. The main course mix grill was good, but shawarma platter once again seemed ok. Lastly we ordered the Famous Arabic dessert Khunafa. What we got was a complete disappointment. When we complained to the waitress the manager then came to speak to us and admitted that they just microwave frozen / packed Khunafa. For a restaurant of this standard, overall I must say it was a big disappointment. The only compensation they provided was that we were not charged for Khunafa, as we had barely eaten it anyways! Also, keeping in mind the current conditions, the staff and management did not make any attempt to ensure seating people with proper social distancing measures, which also was a...
