Even on a busy Saturday night the staff were warm and welcoming. Atmosphere was a bit dark for my liking but the decor and furniture was fitting and comfortable. Food was good. The starters were well cooked and flavourful. The calamari wasn't overcooked and the duck wraps were nice and sticky and spicy. The chicken dumplings were well cooked and the sauce was a good acompliment. The special spicy burger was nice but not nearly as spicy as I'd hoped. Still well cooked though. They did well with my wife's request for her classic burger with no questions or even a stumble when asked for just a patty and cheese. The kids menu, whilst lacking a starter, was almost the same size burger as an adult's so there is definitely enough there for 99% of kids. The drinks menu has a good selection to suit most tastes and the mocktails are refreshing too. All in all its definitely a good choice if you want an easy choice in a city like Bath but definitely book a table ahead of time!!

The 9 of us booked Bills for a girls reunion. We all chose the 90 minute bottomless Prosecco and meal to go with. The first prosecco was brought out edit each of us and we were told that once we had all finished our glass we would need to ask for another as a table. The glasses were then taken and refilled which took a while. Staff then decided to leave us with the bottle. I ordered the classic burger and was given the option of medium or well done, I chose well done. It was burnt. I asked if I could swap, staff took it away without an apology. I then waited for ages and another burger was brought out, with another portion of chips. However everyone else had finished their meal at this point. We were brought the bill immediately after I had finished eating and paid. This was an hour after we arrived. We then asked for more Prosecco, as we had only had 2-3 glasses each and it was bottomless. We were told that we couldn’t as they had closed the tab. We said it was advertised as 90 minutes, however staff said that the tab was closed so the 90 minutes was cut off at 65. If we had known we were going to lose 25 minutes we would have asked to wait to pay. We argued this and they said they could apologise with two glasses of Prosecco for the 9 of us to share but nothing more than that. 2/3 glasses of Prosecco for bottomless Prosecco is poor service. Cutting off a 90 minute bottomless Prosecco at 65 minutes and charging full price is poor. Serving burnt food and then me having to eat after everyone else and being charged is poor. I had to pay £32 for a burnt burger and 3 glasses of Prosecco.

😑 Adventurous menu, but the execution falls short of expectations. At time of writing, Bill's is a highly rated eatery in Bath for brunch in a convenient location in the centre near the Roman baths, and the menu has a number of interesting-looking dishes. However, the meal on the plate doesn't quite live up to that. The English breakfast is a generous portion, but when served had slightly stale toast, tough bacon, and the black pudding was like a briquette! The duck salad was a bold choice to include and fared better, but didn't dazzle. The side of sweet potato fries was decent though. Lastly, the fresh tropical juice was very tasty, but a small portion for the price- albeit that the menu mentions that half a kilo of fruit and veg are used. Overall the food is not terrible, but I think this place will be disappointed to not live up to high standards. PS the coed bathrooms are well maintained but bizarrely dark! 🕶️

We walked along the street from Bath’s famous Roman Bath on this chilly late morning, stopping over at Bill’s for an unplanned lunch. What a delightful and pleasant experience. We chose the very well priced two course menu and, believe it or not: A gluten free beef Burger from its own and separate printed GF menu! What a surprise for someone who is always challenged to find choices for a GF diet. Both meals were tasty and sufficient in portion size. As beverage we had a Pot of English breakfast tea (the tea came in a real pot and a Latte with coconut milk. (Almond milk was not available)but the coffee I had was delicious. The place was buzzing with diners coming in a frequent flow , greeted by a friendly and efficient service team. Overall I would come back and recommend a positive and vibrant place like Bills anytime if you’re stopping over in Bath.

First time visiting this restaurant. The decor inside is quite beautiful. We asked for the set menu and had to wait like 10 minutes for it, only to be told that there is only 1 menu and we needed to share it. I do not understand why only 1 set menu was available. The restaurant was not full so they cannot possibly say that everyone was ordering from the same menu and hence limited availability. The food took a while to come out but was very tasty . Half way through our meal, a waitress just randomly put a candle onto the table. Found it a bit rude as we were talking and felt rudly interrupted maybe being more courteous and just informing diners that you'll place the candle there might be more appropriate it was not even late to say it was required. It was all before 5pm.

Update 9/8/24 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ still!! Excellent evening had by me and he who must be obeyed. As always, staff, food and ambience top notch. Thank you!! A fantastic evening's meal to draw birthday celebrations to a close. Service was excellent, drinks were fantastic and the food was to die for. Went with the veggie/vegan route tonight and was not disappointed. The cauliflower wings defy explanation, the halloumi fries are divine. The dirty vegan burger was just perfect - upgrade to the truffle cheese fries, your body will love you for it - and desert, apple and mincemeat crumble, was a joy from beginning to end. Great night, great food. Thank you too the team for making it such a wonderful experience.
