Bad breakfast and really poor service. Such a disappointment. Pro tip: Do NOT order breakfast if you have a train (or anywhere else to be) within the next 50-75 minutes.
First off: flavor. Our party ordered two entrees: the English breakfast and the breakfast sandwich. The poached eggs were good. The rest of the full English breakfast was mediocre at best, and sandwich was so greasy as to be inedible. The cappuccino was a 3/5, a little watery but OK.
Second: service. No, the person taking our order wasn't anything approaching nice, no smile or anything friendly, but he wasn't rude either, so fine. But the service was glacially slow. We ordered around 7:40. Food didn't come until around 8:20. After watching two others order, be served (coffee/croissant) and leave, I asked when it would be ready, and the man said he was bringing it now, which would still give us enough time to get to our train — we'd allowed about an hour. Another ~10 minutes passed (hardly "now”) and the sandwich came, followed by the platter a few minutes later.
At this point, we tried to bag the sandwich (which we considered tossing as we didn't like it, but economy won out), and I stopped into the restroom downstairs ... where I could hear the microwave beeping, which explained a lot actually. And naturally missed our train by seconds.
Not their fault we missed our train. We needed to leave sooner than we did. But if someone has stopped by our table even once to say — I don't know, anything at all about the food coming or taking longer or simply acknowledged our existence, it would have shown they at least cared on some level. But nope, nada.

Read moreWe tried to get to Bath as early as possible to see if we could find a place open during the Christmas holidays and if there was a halal restaurant. However, most places we went were closed.
Even though we went to close in the evening on December 24, they were very friendly. They served the tea very nicely and with care and their carrot cake was very light and delicious.
Although everything was closed during the Christmas holiday, their cafe was open. This is a plus point, but the main plus point is the taste of the food. My husband had breakfast so I tried their chicken with pesta sauce. Both were very filling and did not bother at all.
The music level in the cafe is very well adjusted. You are not disturbed at all. Also, the vibrant flowers all over the cafe show how passionate the owners are about their work. I guess that's why everyone came in with a smiling face and left the cafe with even more smiling faces.
Bath has always been my favorite city. Now this cafe has become my favorite cafe in my...
Read moreBit of a shambles and won't be going back. Ordered 2 coffees, a croissant and a sausage bap, £17 was very steep for what it was. Much better quality and value offered anywhere else in Bath.
The service was really slow and full of mistakes. Firstly they tried to give us 2 baps even though we only ordered one. The bap came out long before the coffees. Whilst edible, it was of low quality, small and very overpriced. It was equivalent to a single Richmond sausage in a very cheap and small sesame bun - no way worth the £6.50 I paid for it. Then only one coffee turned up. After another wait the croissant arrived, again it wasn't great, considering the price. 2nd coffee still nowhere to be seen, I had to ask where it was, then eventually it turned up, at least 20mins after ordering. I don't think we were alone to suffer from the poor service, it was a calamity all round for the people sat near us. Really poor...
