My Small World Toy Store — Local services in Bath

This is the most wonderful toy shop! I wish my children were younger because they have reached an age where they are beginning to outgrow most of the products on sale (10 years old is my oldest). That didn't stop me buying a few things though. So much of the stuff on sale seems to be unique to this shop so there is a clever bit of product selection going on which must be why it is so refreshing to shop there. The staff are lovely, helpful and outgoing - and very tolerant of toddlers experimenting with the toys on display. The whole atmosphere is simply spot on. Just one observation (and I am splitting hairs) is the two things I wanted to buy were both out of stock so perhaps a bigger stock room? But I really am being fussy. There is an online option, and fresh stock of the things I wanted were replenished within a few days (it so happened I was back in Bath on several different days over the course of a week and I got everything I needed on a subsequent visit just a few days later). Lovely stuff my son was so excited to spend his birthday money here. However when he approached the till which is made up so they can use the desk and pay themselves we were unable to buy any of the items he chose as they wouldn't accept his cash. Pretty upsetting stuff for a child to have to return the toys they were so excited to get.

I cant see the point in breaking a poor child's heart. Why let them pay themselves if you wont accept the money.

If your going to be paying card you might aswell find it cheaper online 🤷‍♂️ Sorry to say. Im a local business supporter but if the business doesn't support the customer then in my opinion its unusable.

We would love to come and buy something every time we visit bath. Instead just have to come and look and leave.

The range of toys and goodies in this shop is outstanding (not to mention the incredible quality and ethos of suppliers!) But the true 5 stars for this establishment, goes to the incredibly, kind, helpful and knowledgeable staff!

Not only did they make me want to return again and again and buy everything, but it felt so welcoming that I could imagine working there myself and it being loveliest/happiest place to work.

These are year round Santas little helpers, making dreams come true every day! ❤️
