I was so excited to finally get a chance to try this place the excitement was short lived my friend was asked what she wanted she replied salmon but we didn't realise that it wasn't all build your own as the jumbled mess was being thrown in the bowl the woman then shouted from the other side of the shop what are you having I said prawn and continued to talk to my friend as I didn't realise that's how you take an order and she started throwing the sloppy rice and pineapple in a bowl it would have been nice to have the process explained as no instructions on how to order and the shop didn't have a single customer. She then started throwing edamame into my friends bowl which my friend said I don't want them please so the staff proceeded to pick all the edamame out of the bowl and put them back into the container with the other beans clearly no concern for cross contamination also no sign that it's card only we paid and sat outside the shop. It was all ok until my friend got to the sloppy soured mango which had a vile sour taste and had mixed with all the rice my friend went back in to try and rectify the problem by asking for a bowl with no mango as it tastes off she came back out with he same bowl and pretty upset that she couldn't eat the bowl as the taste was off putting so I went back in and explained she has had 1 spoon and it's vile she just wants a new bowl with no mango the first "staff member" replied with what's the problem I offered to take the mango out of the bowl she clearly didn't understand once food touches it'll taste like the other food the other pretty rude unhelpful "staff" member came marching over saying what is the issue with a smug look she said so she wants a free bowl but we had already paid and she had taken 1 spoon out of the bowl we just wanted her to be able to enjoy her food is that much to ask she then smirked and said well she can buy a new bowl to which I replied but she just wants this problem sorted she has already paid to then the lady replied well £10 worth of food will go in the bin so she expected her to pay again to cover the waste lost. I was shocked at this point and mentioned that if you go anywhere and your not happy with the food it will be replaced why is it such a issue here I didn't see why the both had such a guard up when she was unhappy with the food and service they eventually gave her a new bowl with all new ingredients but by that time it wasn't a pleasant experience and we both felt unhappy with the whole ordeal it was hard to enjoy the sloppy rice and sides. Definitely avoid especially if you have allergies as cross contamination is clearly not a big issue for them and god forbid you don't like one of the sloppy...

Ordered online via Uber eats to pick up between 1345 and 1415. We had confirmation the order was made up via Uber eats. I arrived at the shop just before 1415, showed the staff my order then they checked and told me it wasn't made and shouted to their colleagues all hands on deck, as they intended to make it there and then. I told them I don't have the time to wait as I have a train to get (the whole reason I ordered to collect was to get the order fast and get the train on time). The order was 2 bowls and 2 Desserts so I can imagine it was unique enough to note if it was already made up. Now I try to support independent restaurants in Birmingham which sometimes means you pay a bit more. I don't know how the refund process works but A staff member told me the order wasn't made up so no food was wasted. Uber have initially given me £5 refund which is unacceptable for an order costing £23 and that's with an £8 discount. I do like the food here but cant see why I would ever go again after making such a loss.

Edit Sorry, just to make it clear I meant to say as your guys said the order isn't made up then from my perspective no food has been wasted and I presumed a refund should automatically have been done. Uber eats have now given a full refund but only after we...

Delicious, with fresh ingredients and decent portion size. Really good choice against the standard sushi options in town, and a really quick and healthy pick for lunch.

BUT, the ordering experience was awkward, and I'm still not quite sure how it came about. I'm sure it was a one off just for me!

I got to the front of the quick-moving queue and was ready to order, but the staff took the order of the person behind me. Waited for the next server to be available only to have the same thing happen again, and then again - ended up asking to be served despite being right at the front.

Gave an order for a build your own with coconut rice and tuna - the server went straight through sauces and toppings without asking what I wanted. Turns out I ended up with tuna house bowl, which was genuinely nice, but not what I intended to order. I could/should have raised it at the time, but as it was literally at the end of the line at that point I didn't want to cause issue by going back.

As I said, this was a minor one-off confusion and didn't spoil the quality of the food (the house tuna is really nice btw), the staff just need a little less haste in pushing the queue through and making sure orders are...

A friend and I visited today after wanting something refreshing in the blazing heat, having recalled admiring a colleagues lunch a while ago we thought we would try a Poké bowl. This was honestly the best meal I have had thus far in my life. The balance of flavours were perfection. I opted for the Tofu bowl with additional avocado and chilli. My friend created her own but was equally in awe of the flavours. Not only was the food incredible and refreshing, the servings were generous which balanced out for its higher price (£8ish) it was a welcome treat and fairly reasonably priced for the location and dining experience. In addition to this the service was brilliant, tables promptly cleaned after people left and staff welcoming and made you feel comfortable whilst you were there. It was so great I purchased another bowl to bring home to share! The only fault being here that the server seemingly forgot to add the coconut bacon and chilli’s to the second dish? Despite this I cannot wait till I am next in the City so I can treat myself again, if only there was a store closer to home!

This was my first time trying a Poke Bowl and I have to say, it was delicious. A poke bowl is a bowl of rice topped with toppings of your choice. It is served cold. You choose your flavour and size and then the Poke bowl is made fresh to order and you get to select additional toppings that you like. There is a good variety to choose from and each one was fresh and tasty! The sauces were amazing too! I couldn’t finish mine as they are surprisingly very filling. Staff was very nice and even gave me a top up of sauce when I asked for it. Definitely a good place to eat in brum town centre.
