The location, formerly Purnells Bistro, has undergone a remarkable transformation that's immediately striking upon arrival.

The interior redesign is nothing short of spectacular, creating an elegant Mediterranean atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. Gregoria and his exceptional team set the tone perfectly, all impeccably presented in coordinated Regina uniforms that reflect the establishment's attention to detail.

However, Regina's exceeded all expectations with both courses beautifully presented and delivering flavors that matched their visual appeal. We had the most wonderful date night at this beautiful restaurant! The setting was absolutely stunning and it was perfect for a romantic night out with my husband. Every dish we tried was exceptional, starting with the scallop starter. The texture was delicate and the flavor was beautifully balanced; the sauce complemented the scallops without overwhelming them. The bruscetta was so flavourful, we couldn't wait for our mains to arrive.

For my main, I had the stone bass, and it was truly outstanding. The fish was so fresh and perfectly cooked. I loved that I could control how much sauce I added as it really let the quality of the fish shine through. Every bite was mouthwatering!

My husband ordered the braised blade of beef, and he was equally impressed. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the Madeira jus paired with it was rich yet subtle, enhancing the dish without being too salty or overpowering.

Both dishes were plentiful, so sadly we had no room for dessert.

We had an afternoon family lunch in Regina's Bar & Restaurant. As soon as we walked through the door we were impressed, by the amazing decor, and the great welcome from Agata (#maybeline325!). It was all uphill from there, great bar service from Sinead and Lorenzo as we waited for all of our party to arrive. Excellent table service from John throughout the afternoon. The food was absolutely perfect, really impressive. Between us, we had the salmon, lamb and ravioli, none of us were disappointed. Desserts have been a bit of a let down in Birmingham restaurants recently but Regina's have definitely raised the bar. We loved them, even one of the party who never likes desserts! The entire afternoon, food, drinks and the service were spot on, exactly the experience you want when eating out. We would all 100% recommend it.
