Visited Tranquil 1992 while waiting for a friend so thought I’d try the coffee here. It was fairly empty when I entered so I thought I’d enjoy my drink in the cafe.

Within 5-10 minutes of being there, a couple came in with a massive dog and kept moving from table to table. I have severe allergies so my skin instantly started to tingle and I could feel hives coming up. I started to drink my coffee quicker so I could leave ASAP. However, within a few minutes another couple entered with their dog.

At this point, there were two dogs in this small space, one of which kept shaking off, so I wasn’t able to finish my drink as I had to immediately leave since my skin began to swell up.

I found this extremely inconsiderate as dog owners should 1) ask customers who are sat indoors whether they have allergies or 2) make use of the outdoor seating so you’re not inconveniencing those who arrived before you.

I would understand if they were there beforehand, as it would be my responsibility to decide whether I stay in the cafe or not. The entitlement is ridiculous and negatively impacts the experience at this cafe.

The coffee itself was great but sadly I won’t be adding this to my regulars as the entire experience was completely ruined within a few minutes of being there by a few...

This was my favourite place to get matcha. However, unfortunately a few weeks ago I went to the shop, in the morning on Instagram the owner posted that the shop will be open until 5pm. So I made my way there arriving at 4:30pm as I live quite a distance away. When I got there, the shop was locked up & of course I was very confused. There was no update on their Instagram to say it would be closed or closing early. When I DM’d the owner about this I was told the shop closed early due to speculation of riots in the area. That there was nothing that could be done to compensate me (it took me well over an hour to get there) which is a shame, as a loyal customer and someone who has even brought customers to his business I thought there would have been more courtesy. I would’ve understood if he at least updated his social media to say it was closed, but he did not and in turn showed me how much he values his loyal...

I paid £15 for 2 drinks, the menu doesn't have a price list 😔 The matcha coffee mix was great, the egg coffee, not so much. Service is slow and the place is catered to the average yuppie.

Edit: In response to the owners response to my initial response lol. I wish you took constructive criticism like you have named your cafe - with tranquility. Actually if you must know, I post my reviews weeks after visiting & visit the place twice before reviewing so I'm not biased. I could've been more harsh with my initial review but I chose not to.

Given your cheeky response, I will add and say this - your indoor seating is small, with mismatched furniture and the odd cut out prints on the walls - none of which justify the pricing of a mid drink. Please be tranquil in taking feedback the next time ( I think I might've upset...

I’ve been here twice, both times I sat in. The owner/barista is friendly and kind. The cafĂ© plays soothing music and the cutlery/cups/plate is very aesthetic (I found). Their cookies are big, delicious and filling. Both times I went they offered unique and different flavours with their cookies. The coffee was delicious. Highly recommend their coffee match fusion which is their own recipe. Really helpful they have a menu with the pictures of the coffee. I also recommend their tiktok page for more pictures of their menu items. There is parking right across the road where you can pay on RingGo app and the place is about 30min walk to city centre. Only thing is their are limited seatings. They also have outdoor seats when weather is good (and the barista/owner brings the drinks out to you if you choose to sit out)

What a lovely addition to Birmingham's Jewelry Quarter. The coffee is creamy, unique and delicious. The service was impeccable (the shop owner is lovely) and it was a lovely first, but certainly not last, visit to Tranquil 1992 Coffee House. I especially loved the decor of the cafe, which is glamorous and beautiful. For coffee, I had the black drip coffee, which was bitter (in a good way) and delicious. I had it with sugar and coconut milk because I enjoy a milky coffee. My husband had the egg coffee and the salted coffee, both were amazing. The egg coffee is creamy and sweet, while the salted coffee has a perfect balance of caramel and salt. I cannot recommend this cafe enough. Please visit and treat yourself to something spectacular.

A Hidden Gem in Birmingham! I recently stumbled upon this charming Vietnamese coffee shop, and it has quickly become my favorite spot in the city. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The Vietnamese iced coffee is absolutely delightful—strong, smooth, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. I also tried their traditional egg coffee, which was a unique and creamy treat that I can't stop thinking about. The staff are incredibly friendly and passionate about their craft, making each visit a truly enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a cozy spot with authentic Vietnamese flavors, this is the place to be!
