I had a terrible customer service experience with The Chocolate Quarter in April/May 2020. My delivery had not arrived but they refused to give me a refund because the Royal Mail tracking page said it had been delivered. The tracking showed it had been delivered to the wrong person and in the wrong county!

Their solutions to the problem included asking me to contact the police - who I'm sure have bigger things to worry about. They tried to get me to contact Royal Mail and I had to point out to them that only the sender of the item can request a refund from Royal Mail. I also showed them on the Citizen Advice Bureau website that as a retailer it was their responsibility to ensure the items arrived. They still refused a refund or to resend the items.

After countless attempts to get a refund I contacted my bank. I showed them the email correspondence I had with The Chocolate Quarter and they did a chargeback. During the process The Chocolate Quarter tried to appeal the chargeback (despite being in the wrong), drawing out the process even more. Their appeal was refused by my bank/Mastercard.

This situation could have been handled so much better. I understand that mistakes happen but The Chocolate Quarter's handling of the issue was appalling. I don't expect to be treated with the lack of respect that came from Jay at The Chocolate Quarter. I had been a fan of their shop but I will no longer being shopping there or recommending...

I recently booked the truffle making experience and I would highly recommended. The experience was really fun and informative and the perfect way to spend an afternoon with friends and family. We arrived to a warm welcome of hot chocolate, which we could customise to our own tastes. Following this, we got to find out about the chocolate making process and taste many types of chocolates. We were shown a range of different techniques and had opportunities to be creative when decorating our truffles. This was a lovely souvenir to take away - they definitely won't last long! After making our truffles, we were given plenty of time to relax and enjoy chocolate fondue, this was well presented and included a range of fresh fruit and marshmallows alongside a choice of prosecco or orange juice. Throughout the whole experience, we were all very impressed with how well looked after we were by such a fantastic team. Thanks again for a wonderful afternoon...

What a superb entertaining but educational and creative experience What strikes you first is that it’s a small business with extremely friendly owners who really know and enjoy their craft I sampled these chocolates last year as a gift and I can honestly say they were not only beautifully packaged but in my opinion tasted of better quality than ones I’d recently been purchasing from Harrods and I haven’t looked back Thirteen of us ladies all sat down to a highly entertaining afternoon of lovely extras including warm hot chocolate cups and taste experience of all types of chocolate and then filling and rolling and decorating our own to take home Aprons are provided for those of us that aren’t as tidy The end was a beautiful chocolate fondu with fruit and cookies to dip in along with Prosecco I would definitely recommend booking this experience and we all agreed it’s given us a totally refined view and appreciation for one of our...

We had an absolutely wonderful time at The Chocolate Quarter for their truffle-making experience! From the moment we arrived, Min and her husband made us feel incredibly welcome. Their passion for chocolate and hospitality shone through, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The experience itself was fantastic—well-structured, fun, and hands-on. We learned so much about the art of chocolate and got to take home our delicious creations. It was the perfect balance of education and indulgence, making for a truly memorable day out. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable activity. Whether you're a chocolate lover or just looking for something different to do, The Chocolate Quarter is an absolute gem! Thank you, Min and team, for such a delightful experience! Can't wait to go back soon and do the Easter egg making one 😋

I enjoyed a wonderful work event at the Chocolate Quarter last week, making our own Easter Eggs. Our hosts were great and managed the evening wonderfully. We had a lot of fun designing, but the truth is that the eating was the best bit. The chocolate was delicious and high quality and we sampled everything! We ate from our bowls, we tried the pre mades behind the counter (I recommend the sea salted one) and even then enjoyed a indulgent fondue. My only regret is that I was visiting and don't live closer to Birmingham otherwise I would be there weekly! Highly recommend the shop and I don't normally even eat chocolate.

This is a wonderful shop! Me and my sisters visited for the truffle making class. We were welcomed with hot chocolate and had it topped up the whole way through the class. The class was very creative and had lots of options including vegan. We were able to try a selection of their own chocolates and make our own. The owners running the class were so friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable. We finished the class with a beautiful box of our made chocolates and a chocolate fondue + Prosecco. Would definitely recommend this class and will be returning for their delicious treats!
