The manager is extremely rude. I had ordered 2 halloumi wraps, and added falafel onto them both, for delivery. Once receiving there was no halloumi on one of the wraps and they had completely different stuff on them even though they should've been exactly the same. I called them up, gave them my order number etc. and stated how there was no halloumi, which was the main ingredient of my wrap, and I had also had hummus, pickles and tomato on it unlike the other one (which is the correct one) that has peppers on. He then proceeded to call me a liar, told me he checked them himself (which he obviously didn't otherwise he would've known that it was incorrect) and that I could not have ever had a wrap like that. You can order just a falafel wrap which has them exact ingredients so I could have a wrap like that. He then proceeded to argue with me and call me a liar. I offered to send a video etc. to which he said "I don't care" and proceeded to say that I could never have received a wrap like that to which I had to put the phone down as he was so rude. I then contacted deliveroo and sent a picture and they offered me a full refund for my wrap. I didn't call up demanding money or being rude as I know everyone makes mistakes, I wasn't even expecting any money back, I was just hoping for some halloumi as that is exactly what I wanted to which I could've also collected but he didn't even let me get a word in. I have had their food multiple times with no problems and it's actually very nice food but the service is absolutely shocking. If I ever order from there again, I won't be having delivery and I will be opening the items inside the shop so he can so they can see if anything is wrong that they can see that...

When we finally decided to give this halal hidden gem in Jewellery Quarter a try, we were pleasantly surprised by the delightful experience it offered.

After passing by the restaurant numerous times in the past, we mustered the courage to step inside today, and we were met with exceptional service and delicious food options.

Upon perusing the menu, we sought the guidance of the friendly staff to help us decide on 2 chicken shawarma items. The prompt delivery of our order added to our positive first impressions of the place.

The first dish we sampled was the delectable chicken shawarma served with a side of creamy houmous, while the second was a delightful chicken shawarma wrap brimming with crisp salad and flavorful sauces.

Both dishes exceeded our expectations, boasting juicy and mouth-watering flavours that easily warranted a perfect score of 10/10 in our books.

In addition to the scrumptious fare, we also indulged in a cup of saffron tea, which, though not to our liking, piqued our curiosity to explore other traditional hot drink options on our next visit.

Food was awesome could not fault the food not one little bit. Presentation of food was great too. But customer service skills are not the best. Last month i went to the Moseley Rd branch & queued up to go in, we were next in line only to be told they would not be able to allow us in as we were a group of 5 & they were closing in just under 2 hours & the kitchen was also due to close shortly - Fair do's! We waited in the queue & there were 2 separate groups of 2 & 3 after us. The shop assistant allowed both those groups of 2 & 3 in. I compained to the assistant that she could have offered us the option to split our group of 5 into a 2 & a 3, she just looked & had nothing to say. I was left fuming! Hence why I thought I would try the jewellery quarter branch today. So I get there at 3.30pm & ask for a table of 5, only to be told the kitchen closes at 6pm & they don't have a table for 5 at present & I could be waiting anything between 60 - 90 mins!!! I'm thinking to myself, that's fine we can wait surely won't be that long! But why try & put the customer off, there was no one in front of us. You know what, we waited 5 mins & a table for 5 became Free! So...yes... food is great but the way staff communicate to the customers is very poor. Seriously, this has to improve, as its so off putting & poor customer service. A customer comes to you - you have to & must welcome them. So customer service on both my visits to Damascena is a ZERO STAR but food quality...
