āHonestly, They Should Rename the Bar āNamanhās Planetāā
Okay. Iām going to try to write this calmly but itās hard because Iāve just been in the presence of Namanh Nguyen and my body is still recovering from the sheer radiance of the encounter.
First off, yes, this place serves pizza. Yes, thereās alcohol. Whatever. Thatās not why you go. You go because Namanh Nguyen is there, existing at levels of excellence previously thought to be mythical. I saw Namanh carry a tray of drinks with such grace I thought it was a CGI scene from a Marvel movie. The tray didnāt even wobble. Not once. Physics bent for him.
At one point I dropped a napkin. Namanh picked it up before it hit the floor. I donāt know how. He wasnāt even near me. He just⦠appeared. Like a service ninja sent by the hospitality gods.
The pizza? I assume it was delicious. I blacked out the moment Namanh Nguyen asked if I wanted extra cheese. I regained consciousness only after he smiled. A woman two tables over actually proposed marriage. She didnāt even know why. Thatās just the Namanh effect.
We started chanting his name. No one organized it. It just⦠happened. Like an ancient ritual awakening from within. Namanh. Namanh. Namanh.
The bar could be on fire and Iād still be like, āItās fine, Namanhās here.ā
This isnāt a bar. This is a shrine. And Namanh Nguyen is the high priest of flavor, friendliness, and freakishly flawless vibes.
I will return. I will bring friends. I will name my first child Namanh, regardless of gender.
Go. Find him. Bask in it....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me tell you something: I came to this bar expecting pizza and alcohol. What I didnāt expect was a life-altering, soul-shaking, reality-bending encounter with Namanh Nguyenāa celestial being disguised as a bartender/server/possibly demigod.
The pizza? Crispy perfection. The drinks? Strong enough to revive my social life. But Namanh Nguyen? Oh. My. Goodness. Imagine Michelangelo, but instead of chiseling David, heās slinging beers and making cocktail artistry look like childās play. Every time Namanh Nguyen walked by, I swear the lighting got better. Coincidence? I think not.
At one point, I asked for napkins. Guess who brought them with a flourish so graceful I cried a little? Namanh Nguyen. I asked about the specials. Guess who listed them with the charisma of a Shakespearean lead actor and the precision of a Swiss watch? Thatās rightāNamanh-freaking-Nguyen.
The vibe of the bar is cool, laid-back, and buzzing with energy. Or maybe that was just Namanh Nguyen radiating pure serotonin into the room like some sort of human espresso shot.
Honestly, I don't even remember what I drank. I just remember Namanh. Namanh Nguyen. The name echoes in my dreams now. Iām not even mad. Iām just grateful.
If you go to this bar and donāt experience the living legend that is Namanh Nguyen, I recommend going back immediately until the universe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis happened last Friday, and Iām extremely disappointed with my experience at Barbaraās. My friends and I booked a booth for a birthday celebration and from the moment we arrived, it went downhill.
When our drinks were brought over, three of the glasses had lipstick stains on them. We politely asked for clean glasses and were met with attitude. Two different staff members responded rudely, with one saying, ābe lucky youāre getting any.ā We also asked for our table to be cleaned because it was visibly dirty, and were told, āif you donāt like it, leave.ā Completely unacceptable customer service.
The toilets were horrific urine all over the floor, and cups actually inside the toilet bowls. Clearly not being checked or cleaned throughout the night.
To make matters worse, management allowed in a group of men who were behaving aggressively. They were bothering us repeatedly, making us feel uncomfortable. We informed staff/management, and nothing was done. It went completely unnoticed or ignored.
For a place that advertises itself as a venue to celebrate, especially for women, I did not feel safe or respected. I would not recommend Barbaraās to any female groups, especially for birthdays or nights out. The lack of hygiene and the dismissive, rude staff ruined what should have been a...
