I always wanted to try Pasta Ripiena. I had only fantastic memories from closed Pasta Loco. I tried Pazzo which ended up as a disaster however my partner tried recently Pasta Ripiena, had really positive experience and wanted to try it with me. I couldn't wait to try it!
We have ordered 2 starters, 2 mains and 1 dessert. Doesn't matter that much what we got because menu is changing in every month. At the top of that, my partner got a margarita.
My partner got her margarita and it was one of the worst margarita which she ever tried. It tasted like a glass of lime juice with tiny bit of tequila. I don't like the taste of alcohol but I tried it and I totally agree with her opinion. In the past, she had one cocktail in Pasta Ripiena and that was enough for her. This time, she didn't feel anything after one cocktail and that cost us £10.
We got our starters after around 10 min from the order. Both of them were OK. Nothing surprising, nothing inspiring, no "wow" effect. Just OK.
We were waiting 60 min for our main dishes and we have been pretty nervous because we thought they forgot about us. My pasta was with boar, truffles, garlic butter and from all of it, I didn't taste much. Bland and definitely not something what I will expect from £24 pasta. My partner had pasta with Bolognese beef and it was tasty but nothing surprising. The most disappointing was pasta: like no additional taste or flavour coming from pasta. I can count many other Italian restaurants which can make much better pasta than this, with much lower price and I will be sure I will get always a good quality of food. I had a discussion with my partner and she was disappointing how different experience she had previously and this time it was an evening which she will never recommend to anyone. Each of the dish cost £24 and it was ridicules expensive comparing to what we have received.
The dessert arrived 10 min later. In total we were waiting 85 min to receive our orders. Super long time. For the dessert we got pistachio panna cotta which was the best thing which we ate for the whole evening.
When we received the bill, staff said they removed panna cotta from the bill based on my feedback regards our main dishes. It was nice to hear but at the same time I didn't ask for it and if I would like to remove something from the bill, it will be a dish which I had problem with, not: the dish which I enjoyed the most from the whole evening. Main dishes cost £48 (and were just untasty) and panna cotta was just £7 and it was the cheaper thing which we had for the whole dinner.
The whole experience with Pasta Ripiena was disappointing from end to end. We have spent £92 for the dinner which wasn't taste, we didn't get a proper cocktail, waiting time was ridicules long and at the end we have been both still hungry. I don't know if I could recommend to anyone Pasta Ripiena. It is not a good place to meet friends as well because music is pretty loud, the space for your table is very small and you are sitting uncomfortable close to other...

Our culinary adventure began with a delightful amuse-bouche of freshly baked focaccia, drizzled with a tangy olive oil and sprinkled with aromatic herbs. It was a delightful prelude to the tantalizing dishes that awaited us.
I opted for the Ravioli of Smoked Cheddar and Celeriac, a dish that effortlessly balanced the richness of smoked cheddar with the earthy notes of celery root. The delicate pasta pillows enveloped a medley of flavors, creating a harmonious symphony on my palate. Each bite was a revelation, leaving me craving more.
My dining companion indulged in the Agnolotti of Pumpkin and Ricotta, a visually stunning creation that burst with autumnal flavors. The plump agnolotti, adorned with a delicate sage butter sauce, were filled with a creamy pumpkin purée and a generous dollop of sweet ricotta cheese. It was a symphony of textures and flavors, a testament to the restaurant's culinary prowess.

Read moreI'd been recommended Pasta Ripiena by a colleague, and I had it on my shortlist for my birthday dinner. OMG I'm so glad we went for it!
We walked into the restaurant and were greeted by a really lovely waiter who showed us to our seats. It has a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere with an open kitchen, which meant we ended up gawping at the chefs while they worked!
The short menu was super tempting; I didn't really know what a lot of the items were, but the waiter (I'm sorry, didn't catch your name) was really obliging and talked us through everything. After snacking on SOME OF THE BEST FOCACCIA I'VE EATEN (which they kept topping up, thanks!) we got our starters (meatballs for the husband, goat's cheese for me), then our mains (celeriac pasta with beef shin ragu for the husband, ricotta pasta with pesto for me) and our pudding (panna cotta and sorbet). I didn't take any photos of the food as my eyes were rolled so far back in my head in ecstasy!
They specialise in filled pasta, and all of it is SO delicious and beautifully presented, with really interesting and yummy flavours. The food was so top end, but the relaxed vibe and friendly staff meant it didn't feel snobby at all. We had three courses, loads of focaccia, a bottle of wine and limoncello, and it came in very reasonably priced.
Can honestly say it was one of the best meals I've ever eaten, and I can't wait to try other restaurants in the Bianchis group. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we...
