India Gate — Restaurant in Chichester

We got a curry takeaway with friends after deciding to go with this curry house. I have to say it's the worst onion bahjis I've ever eaten! It was chewy and greasy! Plus, it had absolutely no flavour! But the weirdest texture ever. They are supposed to be crispy and oniony. The first award winning curry on the menu I really enjoyed. However, my husband wasn't that impressed. The naan bread was tasty and had suffered a little from being in the bag for a bit. It seemed like we could have been at the end of the deliveries in the area. Overall, it was a little disappointing. We entered the resteraunt and stood by the door for ten minutes waiting to be seated for our booked table. Waiters were just stood by the till, in the end I had to approach them after awkwardly standing there so long. We sat down at the table and were literally ignored for 35 minutes with no offer of a drink or any popadoms. At that point we stood up to leave and only then did they try and offer us drinks whilst we were walking out! They were not overly busy.
