Nauticus is the kind of place that reminds you how good a pub can be when the little things are done right. The cocktails are sharp, balanced, and made with real care — every glass feels deliberate, not just thrown together.

Matthew and Scott were our servers that night, and they were everything you hope for when you walk into a place: welcoming, professional, and tuned in without ever hovering. They know their drinks, they know their guests, and they move with the kind of quiet confidence that makes you feel like you're exactly where you should be.

The ambience was spot-on — lively but never loud, full of life without spilling into chaos. You could have a real conversation. You could relax. And when you see how clean the lavatories are, you know management cares. Because a clean bathroom means they respect every part of your experience, even the ones no one talks about.

What really stood out was the respect for their neighbours. No blasting music into the street, no shouting crowds outside. Just a team that knows they’re part of a bigger community — and acts like it.

Nauticus is what good hospitality looks like when you mean it.

My best...

Ahh, this is one of those reviews where I'll end up gushing through out.

Nauticus is beautiful. There is nothing much to say except rightfully pointing out that the beers are crisp, the cocktails are delicious, the service is earnest, and the ambience is immaculate.

Just like a good cocktail, Nauticus is an excellent mix of all of those ingredients. Best enjoyed when there's rain outside and the fire inside.

I also really liked their printed menu, it delves into the history of the place/area in detail, and thus becomes a document of Leith's evolution. Good...

On holiday from Australia just checking out the sights and came across this little gem. We decided to popped in for look and found ourselves staying for a few drinks. The atmosphere was relaxing as we sat in the cosy corner booth. You couldn't ask for a better place to sit a chill out. The hopitallity of staff was amazing, very friendly. I recommend more people check it out. Oh and the whisky was very nice on the pellet...
