Miscalculation at the Cashier I weighed more and my friend less; I asked for mildly spicy but they chose medium spicy. When I corrected it, they gave me two portions, one medium and one mild spicy. They then asked me to pay. I only noticed the mistake on the display screen, which prevented me from underpaying by five pounds.
"The Udon is Too Heavy" About three to four minutes after sitting down, they told me the meal would take 20 minutes. I said I'd wait since the hot pot would get cold if it was prepared too early. They told me the hot pot was already being cooked and asked if I could change the type of noodles. I went over and chose udon instead of the other fried instant noodles (I didn't know how much the udon weighed or cost). They said the udon was too heavy (meaning it cost more than rice; they sell rice for 3.2 and supermarket udon is about 1 pound per pack). Isn't it stingy to act this way, especially since it was their oversight? They then asked if I could switch to a snack, like dough sticks, but I wanted a main dish đ .
"My Store is Right Here" Eventually, I asked for a refund because I didn't want the meal. The refund had to be processed through a credit card pre-authorization, taking 5-7 days to appear. I wasn't sure if it would be successful, so I asked for some proof or cash instead. They simply said, "My store is right here, you won't be shortchanged. If it's not refunded, just bring the receipt." (In my mind: If it's not refunded, I'm not coming back anyway.)
Wrong Order Sent to Another Table After the hot pot was served, I began eating and soon realized something was off. I told them it wasn't mine. They almost sent my half-eaten order to another table. I haven't seen such service in a long time... Fortunately, they eventually realized the mistake and let the other table choose again without directly...

Walking into YGF Malatang is like stepping into a vibrant world of spice, comfort, and endless delicious possibilities. From the moment I entered, I was impressed by how clean, organized, and welcoming the entire setup felt. The concept is excitingâyou get to build your own bowl from a wide range of fresh, high-quality ingredients laid out neatly, making the experience feel both personal and adventurous.
The variety is impressive: leafy greens, tofu skin, mushrooms, lotus root, noodles, seafood, meats each ingredient looks fresh and inviting. I loved having the freedom to choose exactly what I was craving, down to every last bite. Whether you're a meat lover or a veggie enthusiast, there's something here for everyone.
Once your bowl is ready, it's handed over to the kitchen, where the magic happens. The broth is the star deep, rich, and incredibly flavorful.
