The 2 stars are for the food, zero for the staff. I am not sure where the management finds the staff no customer service skills whats so ever..
Went today and was offered to download the chopstix app and get 5 small finger spring rolls free with your order so took the staff members offer.
I was told can you wait 1 minute while we make you the spring rolls as it was a takeaway so I thought this will only be 4 mins max, in that time i seen a uber driver get totally ignored by staff and they just ignored his calls and he was waving at staff while all 3 including which looks like a supervisor ignoring him until the uber driver shouted..
I was getting tired as has my children waiting.. I got the incorrect spring rolls as he only gave me 3 I said Where's the other 2 then he gave me them and no apology for the error or waiting not even a thank you.
I was annoyed as I shouted at him for the poor service.. but i was more concerned the workers hands are covered in I think Curry and he's handling food. Where's your gloves
Note these guys are taking short cuts to health and safety.. Manager / supervisor trained them...
Read moreI'm a regular diner at Chopstix Coventry. I go here only because I like the food. I find it amusing how one of the assistants, who I believe happens to be from India, never recognises me and always reminds me 'card payment only'. Then again, remembering faces is, I guess, a skill in itself and I don't need to be unfair to this chap. I was served by Syed, such a lovely young man. Friendly and helpful. He encouraged me to post this review. It was interesting to see another assistant Dinesh working hard clearing the tables and collecting the trays as well as sweeping the floor. There's a chap wearing a red overcoat with glasses who I'm assuming is a manager. He's always there. I'm surprised he's lasted so long. He watches his staff like an eagle, pushes them to work faster and doesn't seem a nice chap at all. He gives me the shivers, just the way he looks at customers. It'll be interesting to see if he's there next time I go. Big brother is watching, Sir.
Syed, Dinesh and others, don't let this gentleman get to you. If you do happen to read this review, I bet you'll be...
Read moreI've eaten chopstix all the time in Brighton. It was my go to lunch anytime I went shopping cuz the food there was so delicious and they always packed the food to the brim till it was practically overflowing with a generous amount of toppings.
I've moved now and don't have chopstix near me so I was ecstatic to find one in Coventry. But it turned out quite disappointing. Firstly, the portions of the toppings were incredibly stingy for the price, the rice had not salt in it whatsoever (I had to put salt in it myself), the batter fried prawns were so disgusting I literally couldn't finish it. It tasted like unseasoned, mushy batter with shrimp inside. The sweet and sour chicken was just sad. I make sweet and sour sauce at home quite often so I found myself thinking, how on earth does someone fail at making sweet and sour sauce?
Literally the only good food was the 4 bbq chicken I got. Which feels like a waste of £20 if you ask me (bought for my parents as well, raving about how amazing the one in Brighton was and I felt so embarrassed at the clear disgust as they were...
