Hops d'Amour Micropub — Restaurant in Coventry

What a find! Coventry has been crying out for a micropub like this for a very long time and it's great to see that a couple of our local CAMRA members have taken the plunge and done just that. With an ever changing range of ales dark and pale from independent breweries then there's always something new to try. The ambience is very friendly and very cosy. There are snacks available but it's not a gastro pub or sports bar...there are plenty of those places in town already. This is a bar for real ales and proper good conversation! Being just round the corner from The Belgrade Theatre makes it an ideal location and is now an added bonus to the already brilliant pub crawl of The Town Wall Tavern, The Windmill and The Gatehouse. Don't worry if you really prefer lagers to ales...they are on the bar too. Highly highly...

Since opening only 12 months ago, this has been my to go place, even on my own. The beers and ciders are fabulous and I look forward to checking out what’s new, with the ever changing beers and ciders. This is my favourite pub ever! They have something I call the hops effect. It means you talk to strangers, they become friends, you have random conversations and you find yourself part or a community you didn’t anticipate. The landlords care! They listen! They foster regulars and their needs! This is my favourite place to drink beer. A quick one becomes 4 thanks to meeting randoms and having interesting conversations with people you may never see again. Gold...
