I’ve been drinking and dining in the Bulls Head for years. Sometimes I bring my family in. We’ve even had Christmas dinner there a few times.
Never a problem, I’ve never had to complain until now.
Julie, fantastic woman. A very loyal employee. Friendly. Always smiling. My Niece who was visiting earlier this year went in for lunch and immediately told me about how friendly she was.
However, there’s a recent Barmaid. Not too familiar with her but I believe her name is Kelly. She has terrible hospitality. Chooses who she wants to give good service to. Always looking down at customers with her false smile.
For example:
My Mrs and I had a meal with my granddaughter and grandson recently. The chillies did not arrive on my curry and I didn’t get any mango chutney or mint sauce. I politely asked Kelly if my meal was supposed to come with mango chutney and mint sauce. She said she would check in the kitchen. She came back about 10 minutes later saying “We don’t have any” no other explanation. Then walked off. I shrugged it off.
What really annoyed me about her service was; the man a couple of tables down asked her why he didn’t receive a pineapple with his gammon. She was so apologetic, she even offered him a FREE pint without any hesitation in replacement for the pineapple.
My granddaughter and grandson decided that they wanted a dessert so they went up to the bar to order. The man in front of them who was sat in the table directly next to us ordered desserts for his kids before them. He asked to scan his App, once again she did it without any hesitation. My grandkids asked and she responded with “one scan per visit” we knew the bloke in question has scanned already during his visit because he was the one telling us about the benefits of the sizzling app, whilst sat directly next to us.
Shouldn’t you give the same service to everyone? I didn’t want a pint because I don’t drink but it just baffled me, the obvious difference in treatment.
Horrible woman, shouldn’t be in customer service or working...
Read moreHaving been before on many occasions for Sunday roast lunch, I was very upset today to find out, after my husband had paid for 2 braised beef lunches that they couldn't find the beef !!! After waiting half an hour I asked the waitress if the beef had been found and that I didn't want to wait for than an hour for it to be cooked,( braised blade of beef). She said she would find out, and then went to another table as well as ours to say , no beef was available. Why didn't someone say earlier. ? The couple on the other table chose something else but we decided to go elsewhere. What really upset me was, two elderly gentlemen have their Sunday lunch in there every week. They order it for 12.30 and this was 1.30. Nobody had gone over to them to say, Sorry no beef. They were sat there looking round and waiting for their meal. When eventually told they put their coats on and left. So where were they going to eat now, considering they can barely walk. Appalling treatment. I hope they both get a free meal next week, if they go back. And I hope the kitchen staff find the beef eventually. ...
Read moreI genuinely wish I could rate this pub 0 stars for the service I recently received when I took a group of people there for a pre-booked lunch. They managed to 'lose' the food order I personally gave them the day before which resulted in them having to take the order again on the day and cook everything from scratch, which took them over an hour and a half. Which is a totally unacceptable time to make anyone wait for a meal, let alone a group that had gone to the trouble of giving them a pre-order letting them know exactly what meals they would need to cook. Obviously, I tried to complain to the Manager, who didn't feel it necessary to even bother speaking to me. I will personally never eat there again, I will never take my group back there and I intend telling everyone I know what a terrible service they provide to the public. PLEASE DO NOT give this pub your hard earned money, give to a pub that cares about its customers and that knows what they are doing, in other words any...
