WingTrapp Coventry — Restaurant in Coventry

Wow 😵‍💫 I stayed two weeks in Coventry and I’d say that on these two weeks I came to Wingtrapp a good 6/7 times. I’d best describe it as a sleeper, not the first restaurant that you are going to notice on your way, but when you dare and come in you are swarmed by how nice the people inside are. Nicest, most pleasant, polite, smiling, warm people I’ve encountered on my stay here, and that goes for the whole from the register to the kitchen everybody is nice Talking about the food now ? Every single one of those recipes are just outstanding and I’m joyful remembering my time there bc of Wingtrapp. Even if you usually are bad at choosing you just can’t miss : every marinade, every spice, every coating, every sauce works wonders. I’ve almost tried them all and I was NEVER disappointed. And for the money it costs, it is just amazing : you pay 25£ and you get 4 burgers, 2 sets of chicken pieces, unlimited fries, drinks… I’d say it is the best quality/price restaurant I’ve ever been in, but also the nicest service, and the best fried chicken I’ve tried at this point. Visited Wingtrapp on Friday 4th of July 2025 in the early evening.

Walked in to the place, at first this Wingtrapp outlet seems that it hasn’t any seating but towards the right hand side of the ordering area. There is a stairs that leads to one floor above which has a seating area.

So went to the ordering area. I’ve noticed that there were wasn’t any menu leaflet/brochures and you have to look at the menu on the wall which was smallish to medium size. Which was a bit of a struggle to take a good look at. In the end I chose the Nashville Burger (with Sweet Nashville flavour), 8x piece wings (also with Sweet Nashville flavour). That came with House Fries and a dip. When payment was completed, they gave me a electronic pager that will buzz when the order is ready to be collected. It took some for my order to come through, as I believe they prepare the ingredients from fresh.

I have ordered online multiple times and have also collected in store but each time an item is missing from the order or it’s a incorrect item, when you spend your hard earned money in todays economy and the staff are unable to check the order is correct and all items are packed for the order it’s a real shame which ruins the experience because your left frustrated. I understand that people make mistakes but after the restaurant has done the same mistake on four occasions I’m wondering if it’s down to insufficient training, lack of attention to detail or a low IQ with the people who work there. the food that does arrive is amazing which is unfortunate because this is let down by the poor service on the simple fact they failed to include all items ordered and paid for. Yes I have had refunds from the missing items but this doesn’t make up for the error and the inconvenience and frustration it causes customers.
