Worst experience ever in my 44 years of age and 23 years of legal career as a solicitor. Most racist and unprofessional manager I have ever come across. We ordered food for 3 people which included myself, my husband and my 15 year old son. But my 3 year old infant doesn’t eat anything except a sandwich or a pizza. So we took his food with us . And unfortunately and unexpectedly this rude white male in blue shirt turns to our table and instead of saying hello or hi or anything, he just started yelling at us that we cannot bring any food from outside. All the people on other tables started looking at us and we were shocked. I explained to the guy that we have already ordered 3 meals for us but my little son who is 3 years old doesn’t eat anything except sandwiches or pizza. He didn’t listened anything and kept on and on . I told him that I always carry his food with me . He just left and sat on a table right opposite to us. And kept staring at us. Everytime I saw he was observing us and staring at us as if we were culprits. For a second, I thought I should approach him and ask why is he staring at us. But I wanted my children to just have food and leave and not to create a scene. But kindly let this insane and feelingless guy know that he should only object if adults are bringing outside food and eating within nandos premises . He cannot object to a little infant for bringing outside food to feed him. And after he yelled at us, we were kept waiting for food for 40 mins . Which is so annoying. We thought we have done something wrong coming to have dinner in this branch. We are law abiding citizens and soft spoken educated people. Although all this happened, still we ate our food and left the place with a heavy heart. I could have questioned him but after knowing how unprofessional and rude he is , I didn’t felt necessary to even look at him. Ridiculous man with no manners at all. Overconfident rude unprofessional behavior I would say. How come the unhappy customer reviews are not at all replied and 5 stars are replied and none of our Asian customers reviews are replied whether it’s from a lady called Sharon Kaur or a guy named Mr Anwar. Read moreTried to get a table at 7:30pm using the new virtual queuing system it was showing an hours wait so decided to get a take-away instead. This was my first time using the take-away service via the website and it was a complete waste of time! I ordered my food and chose a time slot which was approximately 20 minutes after I ordered it. I waited outside then went into the store to collect it I was asked for my name by a member of staff and she went to check her list and told me my name wasn't on it and then said did you not get a 'Confirmation email'? I then looked on my email to see my order has been cancelled pretty much straight after I had ordered it yet they still took my money! Why are you offering collection slots and taking peoples money if you can't fulfil orders? A complete waste of time! The staff were completely unhelpful too, when I explained to the lady what had happened to me she just said you'll have to just try and order it again, but I can't guarantee it will go through! Ok so I will order my food again so you can take my money twice?? I even asked her if it would be possible for us to just sit down and eat in and she said no were not seating any more people yet there was plenty of available tables. Read moreSo, I think we have become recognisable faces at this restaurant. We do absolutely love this nandos! Bare in mind, we live in Halesowen and we are closer to merry hill and selly oak nandos but we prefer it here. Not only because of the food; its good all the time; but for the staff! More friendly and catering than the other nandos we have been too. With the other nandos, we either get not very good food or bad treatment; eyes rolled at us, distant yelling because we sent food back or even worst we get ignored; looking away when we wave, walking away or just not wanting to take notice and its blatant.
Unlike here; Dudley Castlegate Nandos; amazing service 99% of the time and I didnt say 100% because I personally dont believe in absolute 100%. For example, our server, Henok, just attends to us every time we are here and he is 99% at service when he is here like he absolutely loves to be here and it reflects on his work! The evidence is staggering that he does an amazing job at service; friendly, polite and professional! So, take notice of our server Henok, he is amazing at his job and I hope he keeps going.
