Vintro Lounge — Restaurant in England

My friend and I decided to eat here as it was across from Winter Gardens and we had booked tickets for a Show. 30 minutes after we ordered food it had not arrived. We had already asked and was told it would be 5 minutes. This passed and more, no food. As it was then too late to eat I went to the bar and asked to cancel my order and the guy commented, ‘because of the wait’ so they knew it was a problem. They did offer to wrap it for take out but you cannot take a full meal into the theatre. I was refunded and was told due to the Bank Holiday it would take a few days to reach my bank. Fair enough. This was Sat 24th August. It is now 3rd September and still no refund in my bank!! I have called every day with the same excuse given to me that it should be in the day after. Yesterday Josh told me to call back in 30 mins after he spoke to Head Office. I called back, still the same answer and again asking me to call back today. I asked why should I have to keep calling them back, this is not Customer Service. I was then promised Josh would call me today, no call, so I rang again and apparently Josh was not in today!! Again I was fobbed off and told they were waiting on Head Office and yet again asked to call back tomorrow . I said no, they would ring me, they said they had received my email yet had not even acknowledged that. As I am not getting anywhere as they don’t want to know once they have your money and Customer Service is not in their vocabulary, I have contacted my Bank as this is not acceptable service. Decided to try this restaurant during our recent trip to Blackpool after hearing good reviews from others. We were not disappointed. Firstly, Vintro Lounge has the most incredible deco and is a treat for people who love seaside and circus retro. Floor to ceiling this place is kitted out with pictures and artifacts from a bygone age of entertainment and fun times. . The restaurant is set over two floors and has outside seating too. Whilst offering a full dining menu, the lounge is also a great place to simply have a coffee, pint, or cocktail should you not want or have time for a full meal. . The restaurant is great for family dining as the kids menu was perfect with plenty of choice and colouring options. The main menu is vast and includes choices from around the globe which I thought was a great representation of the entertainment profession in Blackpool. . My son and I both had the bacon and cheese burger which was incredibly tasty and one of the best I've had in a while. Whilst my wife had the three dish tapas selection, which she really enjoyed. . This place is definitely somewhere we will be returning too as it's just good fun.... That's the best way to sum it up. Vintro Lounge...

I have been a regular at this establishment since 2022. Back in the old days the food was splendid, with beautiful music to boot. However in recent years the food has taken a fall. The menu has only shrunk its offerings and the replacements are often cheap and lower portioned alternatives under the same or similar name. See; button mushrooms to extra mushroom, cheesy fries to triple cheese fries (Parmesan sprinkles for £2 extra) and most of all my beloved garlic cheesy flatbread with chilli flakes to cheesy garlic ciabatta.

Dining here has become frankly bland, the great service, front of house staff, great music and decorum can only hold me for so long because at the end of the day I’m here for the food.

I miss my old favourite spot and I only wish I can see it return to the podium I placed it upon but I fear high-ups above the staff at the restaurant insist on cheaper and cheaper options without lowering prices to squeeze money out the locals and tourists.

Overall I would not recommend Vintros if you want reliably good food or new spot to enjoy a drink and a side dish. Unless, of course. you experienced it’s golden years and wish to re-live...
