What a lovely little place to eat. A simple menu of 5 different meat tacos (and Vegan options if you so desire) at reasonable prices. I opted for mild and my wife went hot šŸ”„ on Sauces. Gabriel the owner was an absolute gentleman and invested time to chat and offer us tastings of his various Sauces including one he's working on which we look forward to trying again. I ordered espresso but they didn't have a machine to make it so was offered Brazilian coffee which is infused with cinnamon and also served black, it was absolutely fantastic and I'll be seeking to attempt making this at home. A bottle of water is supplied with glasses as standard and free with your meal, with the hot sauce, you may need this šŸ˜‹

Our purpose was to visit the market which was unfortunately rather quiet on that day but the food certainly made the trip worthwhile. Parking is close by and at £2 for 2 hours is a bargain.

This is a perfect lunch and the quantity is just right in a perfect...

It's probably true that good, proper Mexican food is rare in the UK let alone Brighton, but lucky for us Casazul is the real deal. A decent sized but not overwhelming menu with as many vegan/veg options as meat (thank you!) and each dish formed of simple yet perfectly flavoured ingredient pairings. The setting is small but very welcoming and the staff are really great. The bossman was lovely; great to talk with and happy to answer pretty much any question you have about Mexican food. There is also a great selection of Mexican ingredients and premade dishes available for sale so we left with some nice things for our own kitchen as well as having enjoyed a delicious lunch. Casazul is a place run by people who clearly know what they're doing and they do it very, very well....

We stopped in past this little restaurant for lunch while visiting Brighton for a long weekend in June. My fiance really loves authentic Mexican food, but we don't seem to find it so often. However, this place was wonderful!

The restaurant itself is modest while the food is outstanding. We left with as many salsas as we could carry in our cases home! All freshly made at the premises. The passion for the food really shone through and they cater for Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan.

I would fully recommend visiting here to anyone who really enjoys authentic Mexican food. It's charming, and the owner, Gabriel, is very kind, passionate and knowledgable about the food. They also have fantastic values for sustainability (which is always a big...

Replying to @Pascoe :) The BEST authentic Mexican restaurant in Brighton! People kept leaving comments telling me to go eat at Casa Azul and I’m SO GLAD I DID!! Truly authentic Mexican tacos, I went for a mixture of 3 flavours: Tinga (chicken), Conchinita (pulled pork) and Mole (chicken), each with its own blend of marinades, sauces and toppings. My favourite was the Cochinita, pulled pork marinated in a mild orange and achiote and topped with pickled onions. It’s a family-run business, and the owner is from Mexico City and makes all the sauces in-house, which you can also purchase for gifts. If you’re looking to practice your Spanish, they even host ā€˜Tacos and Chats’ where you can enjoy great food and practice your Spanish casually with others. Thank you all for the recommendations, this has taken the top spot as The Best Mexican in Brighton for sure! šŸ† šŸ“ @Taquitos Casa Azul , Brighton #brighton #restaurant #recommendations

Delicious, authentic, and you can bring a taste of it back home with you! Includes GF, vegan, and vegetarian options; reasonably priced; and very nice and friendly atmosphere. I cannot decide what my favourite part of Casazul was: the cochinita pibil tacos, the vegan oyster mushroom tacos, the side of refried beans and rice, the selection of drinks (including Boing fruit juice, Horchata or hibiscus water - anyone who has been to Mexico will know)...I mean, my mouth waters just thinking about it. I also bought some homemade salsa macha and have been cooking with it on the regular. Definitely a place to look for if you are in Brighton!

Casazuls has a small but perfect menu of tacos with amazing flavours. This was the first time taking my partner to the restaurant. An experience that can be difficult for choice with her being vegan. Casazul did not dispoint her with choice or taste. She loved it. The food is not only great but backed with passionate service and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. It's no surprise that it was busy even for a weekday.
