KFC Brighton - London Road — Restaurant in England

This is probably one of the worst KFC outlets in the country. The interior is very small and the staff don't manage the seating area or queuing system well at all, dirty trays are often left on empty tables for ages so you can't sit anywhere clean. The 2 self-service machines are often out of reciept paper or one isn't working at all, so if you'd like any proof of what you've paid for I'd order at the till.

Although be ready if you do decide to order the old fashioned way, because most of the staff are either hopelessly incompetent and undertrained or have an attitude more like prison wardens dishing out rations to detainees. In particular a staff member called Maria is known to be extremely rude and careless, and blames customers if she makes mistakes with their orders, which she often does.

The food is below normal KFC standards. My last order of a boneless dips meal came with 7 individual fries in total, and the chicken fillets were undercooked with a soft, crumbly batter that isn't right for KFC. The order before that my Sprite was forgotten until I complained, and I was served a piece of chicken with about 70% of the batter having fallen off already.

Somehow the other branch of KFC on Western Road is far, far better, and the staff appear to have been given proper training and are held to account for their actions. I think everyone at the London Rd branch should be dismissed from the manager down, and an entire new staff trained and brought in. I went over today and let me tell you, this was rubbish. I went to western roads Ofc and they gave me the 6 pc family feast with the app discount no problem. And the customer service was great and didn’t faff around when I want to change some things. However, London Road is KFC was terrible. Thursday told me no discount could be made when it clearly states on the app that I’m legible to a discount. The guy was so sassy about it but I think he’s new but that doesn’t accept the attitude. He also told me I could not swap chips for anything but when the last lady tried serving me she said that you could swap the chips. I had to go to 3 different counters to get my order done. When I went home, the gravy was gravy flavoured water. I’ve tried the curry at Western Road kfc and it was perfect consistency. Personally I feel like London roads kfc is awfully stingy and cheap. Also to point out the fact that they gave me a half filled pot of rice. Not only that when I got home, I did not have any forks or sauces or tissues but that’s probably how they do it unlike the KFC at Western Road they would offer you sauces and already put the necessities like spoons and forks. I came in on an extremely busy day around 5/6pm and the queue was insane. There were a lot of orders and clearly there wasn’t enough staff, however, majority of the staff here are so lovely and helpful.

I realised that a supervisor wasn’t attending to the extremely busy situation and left her staff struggling, and I could tell she was a supervisor because she was wearing a different style of shirt in comparison to the other staff working at the front. She was very dismissive of her staff. I think her name was Bog or Bogy, I didn’t manage to get her entire name from her name badge because she was turned away chatting to another woman.

However, the way the staff at the front dealt with the busy circumstance was fantastic.

They kept their cool, and remained focused. One member who stood out to me was Daniela, who apologised to me for how long the wait was and corrected a mistake in my order and she was so polite!
