I went to this place over a month ago on Aug 8th (actually my birthday just for a spot of lunch by myself and to read my book and soak up the atmosphere of the open market which i love). first time there. went with the safe option of a pork belly katsu curry which was delicious. could have been hotter in my opinion humbly. but the service is great. there’s a few different signs dotted around with specials and recommended plates so it’s difficult to decide what to get and know what’s completely available. however, upon leaving and speaking to the dude who i assume is the keen owner who was absolutely lovely and welcoming, he recommended me things personally that he had added his signature spin on and i’m excited to go back for a good well priced meal whenever i feel like it. the seating and table lino cloths are vibes. i had a great time eating and reading my book. undisturbed and at peace. well fed. no belly issues or nothing afterwards. good people. support their business. would be a...
Read moreI absolutely love this place when visiting Brighton. The most amazing food, service and prices too. A mere £6.00 for the most incredible bibimbap with chicken (and made extra spicy at my request). Katsu chicken can be had for the same price as well. Portion sizes are great too.

Tables and stools are provided for eating in and all meals can be packed up nicely for takeaway. Not living locally, I came away with a nice big jar of kimchi and two more bibimbap portions too.
For great, authentic food at a brilliant price, Korpan is an absolute must! And, incidentally, there’s vegan and vegetarian options too, so everybody is...
Read moreWhat a pleasure and delight. Hoon was a fantastic host. We are big fans of Korean food and have tried most restaurants in the area and have even undergone cooking traditional dishes weekly. With that being said, it is nice not to cook and enjoy the feeling of a home cooked meal. We explained that we were vegan upon arrival and Hoon put us at ease by explaining the whole and how he prepares each dish. We proceed to follow his recommendation of the Tofu Curry and Bibimbap paired with his homemade kimchi. I cant speak highly enough of the flavours of the dishes and the quality of ingredients and not only that, Hoon was a very personable host and we discussed all things Korea. We will be visiting again and look forward to trying more menu...
