We visited Coppa for lunch and booked a table in one of the outdoor ‘igloos’ (essential to book in advance, you’ve no chance of getting a ‘walk-in’ igloo). The restaurant itself looks really funky, great design, and was packed. The front of house staff looked really presentable but were flapping and having difficulty dealing with demand. I wouldn’t recommend eating in the main restaurant if you want a good conversation with someone, as it was very noisy, but it was a Saturday lunchtime after all. The igloos were superb, really cosy inside and warm, and great funky music. Far better if you looking for an intimate lunch/dinner. There were blankets to put over your legs incase you got a bit chilly, but didn’t really need them as it was toasty. The service was surprisingly good, despite being so busy. Our waitress was great, very helpful and personable. I wish I’d remembered her name! Reasonable selection on the menu, and cocktails etc I had a delicious superfood salad with chicken. Loads of it and very tasty. And some lovely puds too I’d recommend if you want a ‘novelty’ dining experience in one of the igloos. (Remember to...

Came here for a late Sunday roast. We both wanted the pork however there was only one left so ended up getting both a pork and a chicken which came with alot of veg and lovely gravy. (They had also run out of beef.) We were told there wasn't any gravy left once our food had come so we couldnt get any extra. It was not table service which was fine however we were not told this on arrival so sat waiting for a bit.

The food was very nice, the meat was tender and cooked well. The selection of veg was very good and all tasted excellent. My only critique would be the potatoes were not crispy enough. They were nice but perhaps could've been even better with some more oil and time in the old oven.

Anyway thank you...

Don’t waste your time booking a table as they cancelled our booking to prioritize regulars, we had a stag party, with a table booked to see the football, and with days notice they have cancelled our booking for other people, we specifically booked this table for our friends stag with the football in mind, which the owners were aware of as this was all previously discussed, now it is near impossible for a table booking on what is already us trying to make the best of a post COVID stag-do! I am outraged to leave us with nowhere to go this last minute because some regulars can take away bookings when they desire, don’t bother booking in advance for events because there is every likelihood it is cancelled with...

Perfect place for sunday lunch. Slightly hidden gem with great service and amazing food. Go hungry as they dont skimp on the portions. Great fun as lego on the table and tons of board games to keep you occupied. We spent a good almost 3 hours here eating, drinking and playing plenty of games

Fabulous Sunday lunch. What a fabulous pub. It has just about everything you could ever need. Good beer, fabulous food, piles of board games and a great garden. We'll worth a visit. Make sure you book if you're going for Sunday lunch, as it's hugely popular and incredibly good!
