I passed by on Saturday, Brighton is always very welcoming, i feel this deep in my bones, this is a spot, i felt graced by angels from one simple visit, i was greeted by a bright female who's name was perhaps Amber if my memory serves me.
I was in a playful mood and wanted to try something different and new, she was very patient as i took my time, i sat on a sofa with a small surf board table in front of me, its a fun place, lots of in out bustle, people collecting green juices and protein shakes all sorts going on here and the onus is on health, this i love, health is wealth.
i ordered a Mocha, not had one in years, extremely nice.
it was 11am Breakfast vibes were on the brain.
I ordered the spicy cheese scrambled eggs with a chicken sausage served with wholemeal toast and Lurpak butter.
It sounds a bit of a scramble, it was an experiment, it worked well, nicely cooked scrambled eggs with gooey cheddar cheese, sprinkled with chilli flakes and a small salad topped with jalapeños, the bread was hearty and the butter quality, large portion and value for money, i felt inspired whilst sat there, so i wrote a poem and i actually cried. i probably spent well over an hour here, the atmosphere was light and bubbly relaxed and chilled, i left feeling full of love, nurtured and reborn. It unlocked something lurking inside hiding, ready to emerge, creative writing.
This was a very special visit for which i am grateful, to be frank was life changing, not your average cafe visit, one i can never forget, it started with a spontaneous trip, its funny the penny just dropped, amazing things happen when you do things on whim, on the spur of the moment.
See you soon Angels and thank you Amber, I will always pop by when i'm near you guys.
Special visits deserve special thanks.
Thank you, thank...
Read moreSerious customer training required! We came here as I couldn’t eat solids so a list of smoothies as long as your arm was perfect. So we went in and the counter was staffed with one man on till and one making the food/drinks.
So we sit and choose our order and my colleague goes to stand at the till. The guy manning the till had disappeared just around the corner. He would pop in and out of view but didn’t once acknowledge we were queuing to order.
Whilst we were still waiting a customer left made an effort to come and thank them on the way out and was also not acknowledged.
I was actually amazed with such a small venue that they could totally miss the fact someone had been stood at the counter easily over 10 minutes now. My colleague was showing a huge restraint in not raising this knowing I didn’t have many other options for food but it soon became apparent we would never get served.
We gave up waiting and on the way out I wanted to just point out why they had lost our custom. The guy responded that “we don’t do table service” to which I relied my colleague was stood beside the till for almost quarter of an hour!!
In the 20ish minutes inside their shop there was no personable greetings to any customers, no apologies or explanation if they were busy.
I would never return. It’s a cold, rude and stand offish vibe. Either under staffed or just poorly staffed.
I can’t comment on the food as we got naff all. And had to go down the road to a chain...

Visiting this café today, I was pleasantly met with a warm and friendly staff. They seemed eager to serve and create a welcoming atmosphere which I appreciated greatly. The food was undeniably delicious, surpassing expectations and certainly standing out in taste and quality.
However, a concerning point about the experience was the high pricing. It seemed disproportionate to the value of the breakfast items served, considering the known market prices of these components. An example of this was my breakfast today, which cost me a steep £29.
While I understand restaurants need to cover costs and make a profit, it's hard to justify these prices when one considers the affordability of making a similar breakfast at home. It's important for establishments to remember that while ambiance and service are vital, pricing plays a significant role in maintaining a loyal customer base.
Overall, the café delivers a fantastic experience in terms of service and quality, but the cost effectiveness leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully, they can reconsider their pricing strategy to match the true value offered. This will ensure they don't lose customers who are becoming increasingly conscious of getting a fair bang for their buck...
