as a older gentleman this place is awesome.the owner(boyd) is a fantastic host, the food is to die for,thank you chief (al).the staff are very warm and friendly,the regular customers make you so wellcome, they are very, very,friendly. if i could i would give this establishment 6 stars.

Lovely atmosphere and bar lady of an independent pub. Lovely food at a great price, not a massive menu but good range as shown in photo. 2 meals and 2 puddings for £20. Pint of Atlantic IPA £4.70 as of spring 2024. Would recommend.

I've not been here for far too long. Myself & friends thought "hey! summers almost done... Let's go beachside 4 a change (&last chance! D'ya know?). So.... I'm local... & I drink in social clubs locally. (mostly. ok?) But... (prices aside😉😉) Everything here, from greeting u 2 pooring ur pint 2 even laughing @ ur unfunny jokes & even having the patients about yr inability 2 master coins 4 change. Overall! I loved it! &.... (d'ya know what? on the QT... between me & u.... U will 2! Straight Honest...

The 4 star review does not reflect the effort the staff put in here. The menu was limited but the selections of ale, cider and lagers as well as spirits was good and functional. The staff are cheery and smile as much when you leave as when you arrive Good Pirate theme and happy punters inside and out. Even half empty it's character comes through. Shame it wasn't busy, which I put down to a downturn in the weather. Covid rules...

I absolutely love this place. We came yesterday for the first time. The staff were amazing and the food was fantastic. We came back today before we head home and again staff (different to yesterday) were amazing. The food was amazing again and my chip hating fussy eater ate an entire plate of chips. You get an awful lot for your money. I'm slightly jealous I'm not a kid as the ice cream looks great. The kids wouldn't...
