EDITED REVIEW
I used to love Good Thai, but tonight’s dinner was nothing short of a disaster. We booked a 6:30pm dinner for 5, expecting a quick meal before our coach. Instead, after an entire hour of waiting the waitress informed us our Pad Thai couldn’t be made due to issues with the noodles. Meanwhile, a customer who arrived after us got his noodles, ate, paid, and left, ALL BEFORE any of us got our food!
When the food finally came, the noodle soup dish had extremely hard and undercooked noodles. The alternative noodle dish also had very hard and undercooked and had to be sent back. The replacement came out burnt and inedible
They offered a pitiful £3 discount, which we had to argue to get extended to the whole bill—only to find they still didn’t apply the full 10%.
Appalling service, unacceptable delays and dishonest compensations. A truly horrendous experience. All I can say is, if you do not know how to treat your customers properly, don’t run a...
Read moreAlways sceptical when I see 5 star reviews across the board but this restaurant deserves all the accolades.
Started with iced coffee and iced green tea, both lovely.
Starters were fish cakes and vegetable tempura. Very good.
Mains were red curry and Pla Liu Suan (whole deep-fried sea bass in an incredibly spicy, intense and delicious sauce) with a side of egg fried rice.
The red curry came with jasmine rice, the sauce was rich and creamy. Delicious.
The sea bass was a little tricky to eat as it was cooked whole, but my goodness it was incredibly good. Because it was deep fried it was possible to eat most of the thin bones which helped a lot once the head, tail, spine, gill bones and fins were removed. The batter stayed crispy right to the end which is pretty impressive.
Definitely recommend the Yum Woonsen, had it with seafood. Absolutely delicious!
Mango sticky rice desserts rounded off the...
Read moreTruly OUTSTANDING!!!!! What more could I say? This place is incredible in all areas. The service was perfect as the gentleman (Ben) was friendly, polite, attentive, and always had a smile on his face. The food was fantastic and a very decent portion which is alot coming from me. It was tasty, full of flavour and spice, fun to eat, visual appealing, and fairly priced. We had a portion of prawn crackers, 2 starters of veg and chicken spring rolls, and 2 bowls of chicken curry noodle soup called Kow Soi, with a ginger tea and a tap water and it came to a very pleasing total of £33.90. The atmosphere is welcoming, bright, had great music, nice decor, and was easy to find on Belgrave Gate. Compliments to the chef and the front of house staff. We will be back for many happy...
