Always sceptical when I see 5 star reviews across the board but this restaurant deserves all the accolades. Started with iced coffee and iced green tea, both lovely. Starters were fish cakes and vegetable tempura. Very good. Mains were red curry and Pla Liu Suan (whole deep-fried sea bass in an incredibly spicy, intense and delicious sauce) with a side of egg fried rice. The red curry came with jasmine rice, the sauce was rich and creamy. Delicious. The sea bass was a little tricky to eat as it was cooked whole, but my goodness it was incredibly good. Because it was deep fried it was possible to eat most of the thin bones which helped a lot once the head, tail, spine, gill bones and fins were removed. The batter stayed crispy right to the end which is pretty impressive. Definitely recommend the Yum Woonsen, had it with seafood. Absolutely delicious! Mango sticky rice desserts rounded off the meal nicely.

If your craving some good halal Thai food then Good Thai is the place. We started with some Thai tea and ginger tea. Thai tea is a very light flavored which you can drink throughout your meal, I would suggest to take it without ice. Thai ginger tea is another flavorful tea gives a relaxing taste and feel. For starters we ordered Thai chicken satay which was ok I would say, the famous Tom Yum soup was served in a large quantity enough for 2 tasty. Kids had the Pad Mee(noodles) which were just tossed in bland sauce but gave a burnt taste. Gang Kiew wan (green curry) was 10/10. We also ordered mango juice for kids which is exported from Thailand. Worth trying their food.

Had the best thai food I've had in the UK at this restaurant. Tasted truly authentic and the atmosphere made me feel like I was back home in Thailand. Authentic menu with lots of choice and very friendly service. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who enjoys Thai food. I had the Kuay Tiew, my partner had Khao Soi and a friend had the Massaman Curry. Everyone was in their own world experiencing their meal. Definitely my new favourite restaurant in the whole of Leicestershire!! Kub khun maak ka!

EDITED REVIEW

I used to love Good Thai, but tonight’s dinner was nothing short of a disaster. We booked a 6:30pm dinner for 5, expecting a quick meal before our coach. Instead, after an entire hour of waiting the waitress informed us our Pad Thai couldn’t be made due to issues with the noodles. Meanwhile, a customer who arrived after us got his noodles, ate, paid, and left, ALL BEFORE any of us got our food!

When the food finally came, the noodle soup dish had extremely hard and undercooked noodles. The alternative noodle dish also had very hard and undercooked and had to be sent back. The replacement came out burnt and inedible

They offered a pitiful £3 discount, which we had to argue to get extended to the whole bill—only to find they still didn’t apply the full 10%.

Appalling service, unacceptable delays and dishonest compensations. A truly horrendous experience. All I can say is, if you do not know how to treat your customers properly, don’t run a...

Truly OUTSTANDING!!!!! What more could I say? This place is incredible in all areas. The service was perfect as the gentleman (Ben) was friendly, polite, attentive, and always had a smile on his face. The food was fantastic and a very decent portion which is alot coming from me. It was tasty, full of flavour and spice, fun to eat, visual appealing, and fairly priced. We had a portion of prawn crackers, 2 starters of veg and chicken spring rolls, and 2 bowls of chicken curry noodle soup called Kow Soi, with a ginger tea and a tap water and it came to a very pleasing total of £33.90. The atmosphere is welcoming, bright, had great music, nice decor, and was easy to find on Belgrave Gate. Compliments to the chef and the front of house staff. We will be back for many happy...
