My wife and I called in for a snack after arriving in York for a few days on Tuesday (5th October). We found that the menu offerings were ideal for us and for breakfasts. The staff are extremely friendly, efficient and attentive and provided us, and our friends, with breakfasts on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. It's clearly a popular place because within a few minutes of our first visit to the empty cafe, a queue built up to the outside (about 12 customers) for takeaway snacks and drinks. In my opinion, this is undoubtedly the best deli and cafe in York for breakfast and lunch at a very affordable price. The products are the best quality and customers get great value for money. The sandwiches are fully filled to the brim with such a fabulous choice of fillings. There are hot options of baked potatoes, paninis, soup, hot sandwiches and salads. This is a family run business. What a find! Judging by the constant stream of foot traffic queuing on the street to purchase food items, you know you’re onto a winner. We had the all day breakfast which was delicious and loaded with food. All served with a mountain of toast. Staff were delightful, the cafe nice and busy and the food was amazing and reasonably priced for such a central location.
