peri peri original — Restaurant in England

I've been there once around 11pm. The menu was not clear and confusing. I asked for peri peri wrap for 3,99 but I paid 6,99 for the whole menu with fries and drink (which I did not asked for). Person who prepared the meal said it will take 5 minutes to make it but I've waited nearly 15 minutes (I was on my break) Some other customers asked for ketchup and they get answer that ketchup is on the table, all the containers (ketchup mustard and mayo) on the table was empty. They asked the person behind the counter to fill it up 3 times (they were ignored) Place was dirty. No forks or knives. You have to ask for everything and remind about it to people who run this place. The wrap contained burned chicken and lettuce, the taste of it was average, nothing really special for this price. No one will greet You, no hello, no goodbye, not even a smile. I'm not expecting to have red carpet under my feet when I'm walking in, but ordinary Hello and Goodbye, Thank You would be nice, they are the basics in Customer Service. I smiled because they have all this posters hanged on the wall saying "best burgers in the city" Nice try Peri Peri but NO! You still have a lot to work on to be the best...

Very disappointed with Piri Piri Original tonight. I've been a loyal customer, ordering almost every other week without any problems. But this time was a different story.

I placed my usual order through Just Eat using the cash on collection option which was available on their system and received no contact from them at all. After waiting a while, I rang the restaurant to check on the order, and they told me they wouldn’t deliver because it wasn’t prepaid. I explained that the cash option was shown, but they insisted I cancel and reorder with payment upfront.

I agreed and asked if they could cancel it from their side. The guy said no most likely because he didn’t want a cancellation to affect their rating. So I cancelled it myself as requested. But then when I went to place the new, prepaid order… they had closed their counter on Just Eat, leaving me completely stuck. No food, no apology, no solution.

It felt like a game. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable especially to treat a regular customer like this. Piri Piri Original, you've just lost a...

Had take away from here once, but really worth coming back. Clean enough, longer opening hours, quick service and most importantly - chicken was sooo tasty! Thanks.

Update: After 5 times ordering from here i have to knock off the rating due to unpleasant customer service and lack of professionalism. Seems like they get too many customers, so the odd one can be ignored. I can't support this type of business.

Ordered pepsi max with a note pepsi max only unless they dont have it then pepsi diet will do (not the first time something is being advertised while not in stock). Received original pepsi with 160g sugar and the label not even english. Is this legal? Called them right away so they could collect it. Been advised the driver will come to retrieve the drink and issue £2.50 back. Well... Good luck with that. The bottle is still sitting by the door.

Any business respecting their customer base takes off the items from the menu that are not available or calls the customer to enquire if they could suggest/offer something...
