Discriminatory Pub - Avoid!
Ironically their website states âWe offer a warm welcome to all, dogs included!â. Certainly not the case if you have a medical condition that prevents you wearing a face mask.
Visited this pub on Saturday 3rd July and asked for a table to have a drink. There were tables available and we were about to be seated until the owner, very rudely, insisted I put on a face mask. I explained that I was legally and medically exempt but was asked to leave. The owner said she didnât care and we were not welcome. I was absolutely disgusted at being discriminated in this way. Do they discriminate against black people, gay people for example or was it just me?
The pub was busy with tables extremely close together. Certainly no 2 metre rule or social distancing going on with everyone cramped together. Having been in the hospitality industry myself I couldnât believe that anyone would treat potential customers in this way.
There are plenty of other nice pubs and restaurants in Lyme Regis so I would strongly advise you spend your money elsewhere where they appreciate your business.
This pub is breaking the law on two accounts. No attempt at social distancing between tables and discrimination.
Needless to say, I wonât...

Thursday night we booked for dinner and we enjoyed a lot actually. The menu is simple and not pretentious. The ingredients are lovely and fresh and in all fairness I had the best cooked plate of spaghetti đ in england... for the first time I had a good quality spaghetti properly cooked and the tomato sauce was nice and fresh. I asked without cheese because I know that some restaurants have the habit to put cheese straight away and I don't like it but was delicious. We have mozzarella bocconcini with parma ham and the flavours were really nice. After all the horrible plate of pasta I had in Lyme this was the simpler and the best. The lady that was cooking was very nice calm and polite. She was by herself in the kitchen s well so well done. For a small and quiet place...

Positives - staff seemed lovely and friendly
Negatives - Food was below mediocre. We ordered parmesan crusted chicken, salt and pepper squid, Prawns and a bowl of pasta - just short of ÂŁ50 with soft drinks. The squid and chicken were covered in breadcrumb very little flavour. Who breadcrumbs squid, just a light salt and pepper batter would have been easier and cheaper and more effective. The pasta came out tepid with a cheddar grated on the top. The prawn were the nicest of the three things, nothing came out at the same time either. If I'd paid half the price I would not be writing these comments. For the first time in Lyme I feel like a ripped...
