Home delivery with soggy crisps

Visited mum this weekend and she raved about these boxes. She spent just over £100 for 4 adults and 2 kids. Unfortunately they weren’t to our taste. Far too much sugary frosting to cake ratio making the cake inedible for us. The scones had unneeded icing sugar on top but they were hard. Not too dense. They seemed like old scones. Egg sandwiches were lovely but tuna and cheese were sickly as they had some kind of sweet sauce mixed in. The mini cheesecakes bases weren’t pressed enough so like lose biscuit crumbs and the toppings not stiff enough. Very sickly cream rather than a classic cheese cake top. Too much sickly tippers. And no one liked the cheese tomatoe pesto croissants shame they didn’t vary their fillings for them. They definitely need to leave out the crisps and package them separately as they were all soggy. What a fabulous little place! I was recommended to visit here and I'm so pleased we finally got around to booking their Afternoon Tea. As I am Coeliac I called to book in and gave them my dietary requirements.

On arrival I had to explain that I had also just been diagnosed as lactose intolerant too so I am now having to choose Dairy Free options as well. The lovely lady who prepares everything did her absolute utmost to provide me with the best she could at short notice (unfortunately I could have an afternoon tea as everything sweet-wise contained with gluten or dairy). To cater for me she popped out to buy tuna so she could mix it with vegan mayonnaise!

I had pre ordered what we were having which he was aware off. Asked what sandwiches we would like. Children chose ham and cheese. We went for egg and tuna. Ordered drinks which came straight away.
