Professional Review
Attended this establishment today and not to good of a review on this occasion.
Firstly the place is too small for restaurant dining. Not accessible for push chairs or disabled individuals.
The tables are made from tiles that are chipped and are sharp and for children is a hazard. I recommend this be removed. Also the floor is really slippery when wet. Accident waiting to happen.
Secondly…… the service was really poor the lady forgot to put through our starters for a two person order after we double checked. She also tried to over charge us for drinks and when we tried to amend the bill she was reluctant to the point we just ended up paying up and leaving.
Thirdly I ordered the margarita and fries. The pizza was okay 6.8/10 pretty standard.base was cooked nicely and cheese was good. The fries were covered and I mean covered In Salt! My partner had the pistachio pasta dish it was to creamy and very sickly.
The price for food is also to high in reference to quality.
Overall I will probably give this establishment a miss In the future which is a shame. Hopefully service and atmosphere improve.

Read moreSmall and cosy Sicilian restaurant tucked next to the railway bridge on Newland Ave. Parking available on the road nearby. It has a rustic Italian feel with metal chairs and small bistro tables. The kitchen area opens into the dining space so you can see your meal being prepared. Pizzas seemed to be a firm favourite and we had the freshly baked olive and rosemary bread with our wild rabbit Ragu both of which were very tasty. Desserts looked and sounded good but unfortunately we couldn't manage any more food. There's a good selection of drinks available too including Italian wines and limoncello. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning to sample more but booking is a must as it fills up. Online booking is easy and be mindful of how long you have the table for as others...
Read moreExcellent restaurant. Angelo creates fantastic pasta dishes with heart, soul and heritage. My wife and I have visited twice and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions. Angelo is very insightful regarding ingredients and when asked about them, he lets you taste. This enables you to choose your dish knowing exactly what's in. It's obvious he has a deep passion for his food and he is keen to express this with his customers. We highly recommend a visit and taste the authentic culinary delights of Sicily. Angelo made time to talk about his last visit to Sicily with us , and we shared experiences of places we had both visited. He is a knowledgeable chef who really values his heritage and family traditions. Grazie...
