The Beach Hut Cafe — Restaurant in England

So disappointed. Ordered and paid for 2 doughnuts and was told to take a seat and given our order number. We were waiting for 15 minutes before we went to queue and see what was taking so long. A further 10 minutes later, after being ignored and observing someone with a larger doughnut order who’d ordered after us being served, I decided I didn’t want the doughnuts anymore. 25 minutes for 2 doughnuts is more time than I’ve had to wait for a main course in a restaurant! We went back to the front and said we had to go and asked for a our money back. At this point we were told they were just coming and were promptly handed the bag. I said it was too late and I just wanted my money back, they politely refunded me and we left. Such a shame that what looked like 3 very young adults are unable to manage a fairly average Wednesday...

If we could give you NO stars, we would. Young lady took my order for 2 x doughnuts, there was one other bloke waiting... within 5 minutes there was a few other groups/orders... must have been stood waiting a GOOD 25-30 minutes (and I think I'm being kind there) and at least 3 of the other orders went out before our measly 2 doughnuts! And one of them came after with an order of 12 doughnuts. Er... same product! The young lady seemed like I'd slapped her puppy when I asked for my money back. While we waited we had enough time to watch her keep picking in the chip containers eating and not washing her hands, GROSS. Was our order too small for you?? Humpf! Your doughnuts weren't even very nice. Heavy and claggy, way too much sugar, old tasting oil... not...

The Beach Hut is an absolute gem by the beach, right near Brighton Pier. I tried their toasted sandwiches, donuts, and an espresso milkshake, and I have to say, the donuts and espresso milkshake are hands down the best in town! I've never tasted anything even remotely close – the donuts are perfectly soft and fresh, and the espresso milkshake is rich, creamy, and has the perfect balance of sweetness and coffee flavor. A must-try if you're in the area!

The café has a chill, beachside vibe, and the staff are super friendly. If you're near Brighton Pier, don't miss out...
