The Cricketers — Restaurant in England

Overall experience wasn’t great! Not very professional at all! Staff really do not care or even make it seem like they care! Went in on the weekend for a few drinks and bit of food with my family. I will take into account that it was the lead up before Christmas, knowing it is a very busy period and it was fairly busy in cricketers, however this doesn’t excuse the rudeness of staff members! I believe the staff member I encountered was Nathan. Anything I asked him for looked like I was troubling him sighing constantly like I was making him go out of his way to get me something! Felt super uncomfortable in this situation. When talking to him I would compare it to a brick wall. No smiling the most emotionless face I’ve ever seen. Shouldn’t be in the retail industry if you ask myself. We ordered 2 separate orders for my table and they forgot about a whole order to even bring it to our table. So only half of us was eating and waiting 15-20mins for the rest. Luckily a young man came over believe his name was Reece came in looked abit stressed but seen to us immediately apologising for the disorganisation and sorted us out pronto was extremely happy with his service we got our food and deserts pretty quick after that and experience was flowing a lot more smoothly! TERRIBLE!!!!!!! went for lunch to wait 45min for food to arrive , when it turned up we had to wait 10 more minutes for the "forgotten sides" , then amazingly had to wait 10 more minutes on top for a knife and fork , at this point food was stone cold so asked for full refund....this is where the service managed to get really bad

We was told they would give us vouchers with an exter £20 on top as a refund was "to hard to do", we agreed to this, only to receive nothing in the post in the coming days , after endless calls we was informed they can't give vouchers but will refund us the price of food , we then received nothing, kept calling kept being told we'd get call back from a manager, then told refunded was sent but problem with our bank , after finding out it wasn't the bank ,we was then told they actually hadn't sent a refund, but we was giving the managers number and he said he'd call us next day to fix situation, he has since not called or answered voice mails or texts , this was 3weeks ago we got his number ........ they have stolen, lied and...

I left a review a couple of years ago saying this was the best karaoke night by a long way and that myself and my partner come across from Honiton for it. Unfortunately we've been unable to make it over for the last 6 months or so, but made the trip tonight to find that the amazing DJ they had here before, is no longer! What a disappointment. The sound was still okay, but the whole atmosphere/vibe was different. The previous DJ, Nick, had bags of personality, made the whole experience what it was and it seemed had far more love for his job. There are too many long gaps between singers now, you can barely hear the DJ as he has his mic up so loud and thats on the few occasions that he does actually speak. Little to no actual interaction with singers/customers, and his assistant looked bored. I hope that Craft Union haven't taken over and just gone with a cheaper option, because you can really tell.
