The Omelette Restaurant — Restaurant in England

I love coming here for a pre-show meal and the quality of the food is always excellent. The lasagne I selected this time was absolutely wonderful, and beautifully presented too. Unfortunately, maybe the waitress had had a busy day, but was rather abrupt when serving, seemingly in a rush although the restaurant wasn't busy at 5.30pm. So much in a rush that she obviously didn't see my loyalty card that I showed her, as I was aware that I needed to before the bill came having been a regular customer for many years. I tried to ask her for some water when she brought our wine, but she simply plonked them down and rushed off so I didn't bother. When she gave us the bill there was no discount. My friend observed that she clearly hadn't registered I'd shown her the card. The waitress then gave me a lecture about the importance of presenting the card early! I didn't make a fuss, and paid the full amount. I really love coming here, and usually the staff are utterly delightful - anyone can have an off day. In my youth I was a Saturday girl waitress and know how tiring the job can be. However, this young lady needs to know that service with a smile, and courtesy to a customer makes such a difference. I'll definitely be back, but hope I receive better...

booked a table over a week before wanting to go on the menu it clearly states 10% off if booked a table never got that wasn't aware they did children's menu until another table got kids meals so had to purchase a filet chicken burger for a child unaware it was full of spices so he couldn't eat it asked for a rib eye steak rare to medium it was charcoal and my mother ordered a omelette now to find she is vomitting not to mention how luke warm food was or cold ordered two pots of teas to find one small pot with A teabag in and another small pot with water not to say like pee then ordered a coke noticing their small bottles of coke maybe understanding giving a child a glass instead of the actual bottle then realising they don't give them the full measure of bottle cus they put it back in the fridge to use again don't mind paying £1.95 for a coke but to be ripped off in front of your eyes is unreal have rand the company up to be told can't speak to supervisor or manager to ring back after 3pm when where not to busy customer care doesn't exist certainly won't be...

I can't comment on the quality of the food as my friend & I didn't receive our food in time to make the theatre but what we saw being served to other tables looked good. I reserved a table for 2 on line the previous evening. When we arrived, my name wasn't on their list but, after showing my confirmation email, a table was found. We were brought menus & drinks order taken. We ordered food at 6.20pm. By 6.55pm, there were a few diners starting to ask where their food was. We waited a while longer & my friend went to the counter at 7.10pm to enquire about our meals. The waitress wasn't very helpful so we left money for the drinks and left. The ladies on the table next to us ended up with their meals in a box to go but had to dump them in order to make the theatre. One of them went back for her coat & our meals were on their table!! If they were short staffed, an apology in advance on our arrival would have been appreciated. Very disappointed as the reviews I'd read were...
