Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing.
We started with the spring rolls, which tasted like they came straight from a frozen packet—no freshness or proper texture. The prawn sesame toast came with three pieces, and one of them was undercooked, pale in color and not crispy at all.
The lemon honey chicken was by far the worst dish of the night. The chicken was dry and tough to chew, and the sauce was thin, watery, and lacked flavor. We also ordered the sweet and sour shrimp as a main, but it didn’t live up to expectations either. The sauce was overly sweet, very light in color, and tasted more like a mix of starch, sugar, and water than a proper sweet and sour sauce—even as a dipping sauce it wouldn’t work.
To top it off, the timing of the food was very poorly managed. Appetizers came out at the same time as the mains, and the soup arrived when we were nearly done eating.
Overall, the food quality and service coordination need serious improvement. Not a place I...
Read moreok, so i had been to this restaurant before and was impressed by the food and the service i recieved. (maybe 3 stars). Today i visited with my friend. there were quite a few groups in who were well spoken people who clearly had a lot of money. these customers became priority over us who hadnt even been served whilst we had been there . me and my friend were constantly been watched by the staff and the lady waitress was miserable, talk about service with a smile! once the food arrived we were dissatisfied as we got the side order 10 minutes before the actual meal and the side order was to go with the main, so the side ended up cold. once finished they couldnt hand us the bill quick enough. today i feel let down, i felt awkward as they were always watching us and we were made to feel that we werent good enough to eat there. also the food wasnt that nice and me and my friend left feeling sick. also on a last note her food wasnt cooked properly and the chicken she had was hard...
Read moreI order a take away (about £50 worth). I was surprised and disappointed to find the quality of most of the food to be extremely poor. The noodles were bland and flavourless. The special fried aubergine was literally swimming in vegetable oil and similarly bland. The pork dumplings were extremely greasy and fatty. One positive was the Chive Dumplings which were tasty, the prawn toast average to good. Given the positive reviews generally I wonder if I was unlucky, however the variety of dishes chosen were relatively basic and 'standard fare' for Chinese take aways (noodles, dumplings, prawn toast). I have good experience of Chinese food and this was, unfortunately, rather horrible food. I was nervous about the breadth of of choice on the menu initially as no good restaurant can maintain a high standard across this huge choice. Avoid...
